I Broke down - Kerosene Heater

Does anyone ever have concern with an open flame heater on the floor of a garage where gas fumes linger? Yikes!!

YES!

But, luckily I have NO gasoline tools in the garage (out back in the garden shed). If per chance either vehicle were to leak fuel, the kero heater would be the least of my problems, LOL.

With the torpedo heaters, it's critical to get the air/fuel mixture right so the catalyst gets up to the proper temp. When I use mine, I open the garage door a little and point it outside during the start up cycle which blows any initial smoke and fumes out the door. After about 2 or 3 minutes I spin it around inside and never had a single problem with fumes and I've got a pretty sensitive nose.
