I'm at work and just went outside for a quick break. As I walked up to my car, I saw about a 4" smudge on the fender near the passenger door, just under the windshield. I became like a zombie, I took my keys out and popped the trunk. I reached for the QD spray and a clean MF cloth and proceeded to mist and wipe the area until the smudge was gone ... the only problem is that now I have a clean spot. The rest of t he car is covered in pollen and a very light amount of road dust. THis is almost worse than the smudge, I'm not going to be able to stop thinking about that clean spot now ...

... I'm Don, and I have the sickness.

This is normal behavior here. Sounds like a full wash after work!

That would mean washing the car two mornings in a row ... you're right ... seems normal to me (It's what I do when on vacation anyway). :xyxthumbs:

I think nothing of a ww every day on my pollen covered challenger and that car rarely leaves the garage. The pollen blow right in and cover it. I feel like the pollen is getting worse every year or maybe I'm paying more attention ... Idk

I am right there with you Don! If I notice a spot I can't get it off my mind until the situation is addressed. Two weeks ago it was birds, I am convinced they are terrorist! Also it sounds like you folks in Ohio are dealing with the pollen as we are in Michigan. That has been driving me crazy, wash last Monday morning after getting out of work, Thursday morning it was covered again and another wash. Now I sit here waiting for the sun to come up, I am going to back it out of the garage, and wash it again. I am glad I picked up another gallon of Hyper Wash on this weekends sale, looks like I am going to need it.

I have about 3 clean square spots on my hood as well. I consider this behavior to be normal.

Normal for the OCD car guys as my wife says.....I'm in that club though.

I washed/cleaned up my entire car for Cars and Coffee yesterday. Need to do the van and it's going to be killing me not to do my car again. Yes....even again, a day later, as she's covered in pollen. Who knows, the mother in law is coming over, so I may just detail both today just to stay out in my man-cave garage

You're not alone.....a bird got me on the way home the other day....pulled over, got the Speed Shine out with a microfiber towel.....and, like you, created a clean spot. The truck got washed when I got home. On Saturday, took my daughter to her horseback riding lesson. One of the other parents had bird poop on their hood....went right for the Speed Shine.....they thought I was nuts

you literally typed out how i feel every day here in CA w/ the pollen and dust, sometimes I just say to the wife and kid lets walk!

Sounds normal to me. The kid still picks on me for the day a lady bug walked across the car and left little tracks. Of course grabbed the QD out of the trunk.
Looked at me and said "removing lady bug foot prints now aren't you?"

okay......mowed the yard, proudly hung the flag and yes, sprayed off/wiped down my car. 22 seconds later pollen started falling. she's in the garage now. I'm going to put a coat of BLACKFIRE BlackICE Hybrid Montan on her when my wife gets here with my Mother in Law.
