I found the car I want to get!

I'm agreeing with the above: you cannot beat a diesel truck! I get 20mpg+ on the highway...

I can't believe you get 16 or 17 mpg in your GT! That is good mileage right there... I get 14. :) The vibe is a cool car... good luck and let us know what happens.

Well, the black one is a no go. Price was a little too stiff for me, but more importantly, there's just to many miles on it.

I'm just gonna hold out until I sell my car out right privately. It's been for sale for 2 months already, but I just dropped the price $2,000.

Once I get that sold, I'll be looking for a Vibe again, and if I can find a cheap one, a Mazda3 S.

Diesel Truck, Diesel Truck, pick up a used 2500 or 3500 Duramax either Chevy/GM, around 2002/2003 should be around a little higher then your range. Course I'm biased and love diesel trucks over little cars:p:D. Easy to make fast, security of a truck, and great gas mileage for something so heavy.

hmmm buy a 5th gen corvette... 15/16mpg around town but ~30mpg on the highway. ;)

I'm only 20, so insurance is sky high for me. Also, average 16-17mpg is rough for me. I don't drive a ton, but 1200-1500 miles a month is still rough.

I don't want to sell, I LOVE my mustang, but it's the best decision for me. I've thought of keeping it for a few more years, but by that time, it won't be worth crap. And I definitely plan on getting another Mustang when I'm older.

As far as the vibe, they have it marked at 13,500. Fairly high being an 04 with 60K miles, especially when comparing it to all of the other Vibe's around my area for sale.

I'm 19, and I was recently hit badly in the back of my '97 Oldsmobile Auroa (15MPG, 300HP V8) and a 4-door Saturn hit me, and she's looking at 8k in damage, meanwhile, my muffler is bent badley, their replacing my bumber and front rim, where I hit the median.

Saftey is more important to me. I will never drive a smaller car, as I was looking at a 2007 Civic Si. Instead, it's either a basic 2006 GTO, or a 2003 Oldsmobile Aurora. You can replace a car, but not a life. She wasn't badly injured, but I walked away with a minor headache. 40MPH crashes are nothing to mess with.

Just my two cents.. :)

Actually the new Civic's have outstanding crash ratings.

As far as the Vibe, it's gotten 5 star crash ratings in all of the areas except the passenger side rear when getting hit from that area, and that was a four star.

I know they say civics and all are great in crashes, but if surfer's huge trucks crashed into a civic... I want to be in the truck when that happens not the civic. What would you rather be in?

Hahaha, I know your point, but I can't afford a large truck. So I have to work with what I got.
