I posted that my 'go to' cleaner for severe interiors (neglected/smokers) is 3 oz Tide Laundry Detergent + 3 oz of APC in a 32 oz bottle of water. HE tells me to flush it all in the toilet and use DAWN Platinum Dish Soap instead

If your going to start a YT channel and post content you have to be prepared to deal with trolls and/or people who think they know W T F their talking about. It comes with the territory. You can simply just ignore them or you could also disable comments to avoid it entirely but that usually turns away subscribers since most people want to engage in dialogue.

Though I didn't think his comment was troll-ish.

Not really taking that as troll-ish either. It could be a lot worse.

To be honest, after using a strong detergent once which removed the white paint off of some buttons and a blinker stalk, I'd be afraid to use either recommendation. The recent Dawn products are powerful stuff! I've seen what they do to my grill, smoker, and some dishes.

Maybe NOT troll-ish, but I definitely feel like I'm being baited, but I ain't falling for it. I did/do expect some BS to pop up now and then, and I don't mind a good debate. I only started using the laundry detergent mix after seeing Brian @ Apex Detailing use it on some pretty gnarly work trucks. The only reason I used it on the Camaro, is because I'm WORKING ON becoming a non-smoker and I WAS a very heavy smoker IN the car. So I wanted all traces gone. My OTC "go to" is Turtle Wax Dash & Glass. It's inexpensive, and WORKS (on glass too).

Come see me sometime and I'll show you the trick to no more smoke odors in the car. ;)

The go to product for interiors used to be Woolite. Mix with APC if you need something stronger.
