I hate Toyota brakes

My 07 F-150 was bad for brake dust, and others have said BMWs are bad too.

So put a good coat or two of wheel sealant on, and make life easier.

Ryan, even waxing the wheels with something like Collinite 845 will reduce the dusting by about 50%.......:props:

Don't buy a Volvo then. The OEM pads dust like crazy. But as all others mentioned sealing your wheels will reduce how much brake dust sticks to the wheels.

There is more to hate than just the brakes. The wife's 05 sienna with the use to be black plastic step strip on the back end, the every time you wash it you need to re polish the plastic mirrors and the plastic trim around the windows. Perl,UTTG no help with these items. I have never seen such worthless plastic items like these before and constant upkeep.

Never owned a vehicle that left so much darn brake dust on the rims. This is a 2012 Toyota sienna, my camaro in contrast doesnt leave hardly any dust

If you think that's bad, everytime I ride in my Evolution the brembo's cover my just cleaned wheels in about 5 minutes. So annoying!

They are waxed with collinite. Guess it would be worse then :(

yall need to look at what kind of brake pads your using, that also has a huge role to play. Usually manufactures will install the cheapers pads they can which is usually a organic pad, organic pads will produce the black brake dust you see. Next time you need brakes spend the extra money an get the fully ceramic pads, these don't produce the black brake dust an usually they come with an amazing warranty an can be swapped out free of charge, they also last alot longer. Finally some advice I could offer up. Thank you working at NAPA lol.

Dude, if you think Toyota leaves a lot of brake dust, you obviously haven't worked on BMW wheels. BMW in 3 days will leave more brake dust then any Toyota in 3 weeks...

Could not agree more. Since all brakes have changed from asbestos sourced brakes to organic (a good thing for your health, bad for the wheels)this is big problem. However, I think BMW drivers suffer the worst for whatever reason.

BMWs are even worse and I got sick of it. I found AXXIS Deluxe organic brakes make zero dust and noise, stop good and are cheap. Replace your brakes with these and you will solve this issue completely

You don't know bad unless you have detailed a BMW 7 Series that sees car washes, but no wheel washes...

we got five toyotas in the family. i wash them all. the toyota pads aint #### compared to bmw pads. you want brake dust problem? look no further than a bmw son.
