I hate

it's annoying, but alas there is a solution re: requesting paper so that i will. but why they'd just not choose better peanuts to start i'm unsure.

I was just looking at Uline (only one data point, but whatever) and the starch peanuts cost $2 more per 20 cu ft, so there is some cost issue with them...plus I'm guessing there is the issue that if a bottle of liquid leaks it might dissolve them. What's more puzzling is the regular Uline peanuts, there is no price difference between the regular and anti-static, I know the anti-static aren't perfect, but they are better than the regular. I'm guessing most suppliers the anti-static cost more.

They're not bad with a little cinnamon-sugar on them.......:D Look at them as a light snack.....:props:

My one order I had the paper. The peanuts are nice if you send stuff yo others. I've been parting a car out and have used the peanuts to pack stuff. That or give em to your kids and tell them they have to clean up their mess or they don't get ice cream. Both have worked for me

Sent from my Dell Streak using AG Online

I love the peanuts, but mostly because I ship a lot and reuse them. Not to mention I now have free packing material. I just wish they were the anti-static ones.

i too used to reuse them. i'd put a bag over the box like i was saying earlier and collect them. however...it still causes problems because of the static. little bits in the box and flying around looking to stick to the floor or anything else around. i used to collect all the peanuts i'd get from all packages and honestly AG was the only company that still used this style. so when i'd reuse them...it'd be the same mess. i realized if i hated these AG peanuts so much, why am i putting them in packages to people i like?! so i bailed on them and now just throw them out.

lol @ the kid idea. convenient and evil...i like that!

there are tons of options. that market is extremely competitive, especially with volume quotes. some might seem more expensive but when you average it out vs. others that have fluctuating costs because of raw material/commodity peaks and valleys, they work out to be just as affordable. AG is a sharp group so i am going to trust they've quoted it out but i'm just saying their peanuts are annoying as heck.

Bobby i'm not going to lie, i've eaten packing peanuts before.

My "favorite" part is I have a plastic trash basket with a plastic liner and by the time you put all the peanuts from the box in there the static charge is so high that the last few peanuts (that are sticking to your hands), when you throw them in they just kind of levitate and fly back out.

like I've said before and no one will take me up on it, PM me for my address and you can send all the peanuts you don't want to me. I ship a lot and they are easy to use.

Agreed!

I don't mind the peanuts, its the careless garbage man that dumps my can's all in a hurry and makes it snow in my yard and i live in Florida no snow here.lol

I believe you are the careless one. Take the time to bag them up... he's just doing his job. Where do you think they are going to go when he dumps it?!?

haha yes!

I usually request anti static bubble wrap filled with the flatulence of mermaids.

sure its a $5.00 up charge for the order, but its ozone friendly.
