I have no love for Fay!

YEEEOW! Looks like some home repair Meghan. Darn.
One of the things that was on the news here in Ca. was some guy in Fla. parasurfing. Had actual footage of him being thrown into a building a couple of hundred yards after landing. Don't remember what town.
Was Ft Lauderdale, he was kiteboarding. Shouldn't have been out in those winds right off the beach, open water isn't a problem, but its common for high winds to yank you out and being right off the beach = disaster waiting to happen. I was there last year when the two girls were parsailing (high winds the boat shouldn't have been out in) when the rope snapped and wind took them over teh beach hauling ass hitting a palm tree then building before dropping to the ground, they hit the tree so hard it snapped. One sister who was 15 died.

I haven't gotten hardly anything from Fay other than a light rain and a little wind. I see my 3 day forcast is 80% chance of rain when Fay crosses back over about 50 miles to the north of me. Other than that, all is good.

Looks like Meghan has been selling some Fuzion on the side:)
Nice house Meghan!

You guys anywhere near Delray? I wonder if my place down there stayed dry. If so, how far are you from there, next time I am down there I may have to visit.

Delray is about an hour or more south of us.

Delray is up the road, literally, I'm all the way on the east side, come out of my community and two signs up the street, welcome to boca and welcome to delray lol. Here's the video of the kiteboarder accident:

Here is an update on South Fla roads, water levels and my lovely new house, that hopefully has a good warranty!

This was the commute home yesterday...

Here is a river aka road!
00058.jpg

We found high ground to travel on, well at least the water was not that deep!
00059.jpg

As you can see, you must not go over 40mph even if traveling in a canoe! Which is all you could use to get down that road.
00060.jpg

Now I really did want to help here but my flip flops would have flipped right off!
00062.jpg

Got to love good drainage.
00063.jpg

The nice Police helping out.
00064.jpg

I was trying to get to Home Depot in the background, was very tricky, all entrances were under water.
00065.jpg

Ahhhh ... as you can see my neighborhood is not under as much water now... but those clouds are not bring sunshine!
00068.jpg

This was the house when I got home, previous water line is a little visible in the left side of the pic.
00069.jpg

Got home to find out Master Bedroom breaker likes being off and not on! So it was nice getting dressed in the dark this morning, I think I match!
00071.jpg

This is river Fay, as you can see she has gone down a lot. I took this one this morning.
00073.jpg

Another one this morning, puts a smile on my face!
00074.jpg

THis one a great display of my photos skills LOL. Was trying to get crazy clouds, neighbors dry yard, and pull out of my driveway... lets say "not successful".
00075.jpg

So I took the same way to work today as I did in photos yesterday... some water was down.
00076.jpg

00077.jpg

Some water was still as high...
00079.jpg

Ramp was better, we got to drive on the ramp and not half on half off!

All in all I think this would make a great ad for those thinking of moving to Fla! :p

sounds like she's coming back (Fay) and sooner that later all Florida will have had to deal with her. OUCH !

It finally started raining this afternoon and some light wind. No big deal here, but should see a LOT of rain in the next 24-36 hours. Got a lot more rain and wind in '04!

Update: It's been raining here for about 36 hours, almost without letting up. It's definitely lighter and more intermittent now. The center passed about 60 miles north of me and it was torrential rain and wind yesterday and was a little more than we thought, although it wasn't that bad.....probably 30-40mph winds with higher gusts and we lost power only once for a little bit. I work in Crystal river, which is right on the coast and has been on the news a lot regarding the flooding issues. There was a lot of flooding at work and throughout the city, and they expect more, currently being in a flood warning(since yesterday!). Right now, we are in a tornado watch, flood watch, flood warning, and high surf advisory in Citrus County. All in all, not that bad, but the tornadoes scare the bejesus out of me:eek: Hope everyone else did ok.

Hang in there Dennis, Fay likes to over do her stay... she does not know when her time is to go! We are finally getting dry, some roads still under, but much better, if she would just get the lead out and move faster!!!

Just heard on the news, this "not so smart" guy is ok, broke some stuff, does not remember the accident but he is up on his feet walking around.

After lots and lots of rain since Fay hit, it's finally sunny in southwest Florida today. I even was able to wash a couple of cars.

Least he made it, I was there last year when the two girls were in the parasailing accident in pretty much the same area and the one girl died after hitting the building, so sad

Come on Dennis I am still leaking water from Fay!
