Hi,
I'm going to do polish to my car with meguiar's DA V2,
I going to use Meguiar's Ultimate Compound then Meguiar's Ultimate Polish, then after finish to polish, I going to put Menzerna Power Lock on the car (by hand not by machine)
My car is Mazda 3 Black color, I know that it's soft color.
Please which pads can I use, the chemical guys Hex will be more effective then meguiar's soft buff 2.0 pads for the polishes?
For the hand work with menzerna can I use the black Hex Hand applicator from Chemical guys ?

Thanks & Regards.

What size are your Hex Logic pads?

I have backing plate of 4" and 6",
I think to use Hex logic 6.5".

Regards.

I don't have,
I asked questions before buy,
The question is if the CG Hex-Logic pads are more effective then meguiar's soft buff 2.0 pads for the polishes?

Regards.

Do you have the Meguiars pads too? If so, keep in mind that Meguiars used the yellow soft buff 2.0, Ultimate Compound, and their g110 for years in their classes. It's a proven combination.

If you haven't looked into their new thin foam discs, the've been getting rave reviews.

What's nice is that they have a "system": burgundy cutting, yellow polishing, and black finishing/waxing.

Lake Countru also has a nice little system in their Hydrotech line.

dlc95 thanks for replies,
Again, I don't have any pads, I want to know which pads is best with Meguiars UC and UP ?

regards.

No problem!

If it were me, I'd get Lake Country Hydrotech. Use the Cyan with Ultimate Compound, Tangering with Ultimate Polish, and Crimson with whatever wax you decide to use.

They are pretty thin, and the machines have an easier transfer of motion to the paint. These pads in particular are VERY responsive to ther pressure you put on the machine, and leave a beautiful finish.

Thanks for the answer,
The hydrotech is the kompressor series ?

About the Menzerna Power Lock (Sealent) you prefer to use it with the polisher or by hand ?

Regards.

Mc'Lovin gave you the proper link.

Kompressor offers their design in Hydro foam, but I wouldn't worry about those at this point.

I do as much as I can by machine. I only hand apply carnauba paste waxes, and anything I can't reach by machine.

dlc95 how you apply by hand ? with with applicator ?
Also I have another question,
Plate 4" will handle 5.5" pads ?

Regards.

I just use the Meguiar's yellow foam hand pads.

No, use a 5" plate for a 5.5" pad. I tried using a 6.5" pad on a 5" plate, and it just didn't work. It was immediately uncomfortable, and I was unhappy with the results.

I have 6" plate,
The second plate is 12.5 cm / 5 feet,
Which size it is ?

Regards.

Thanks friend,
I already ordered 3" BP, and 4" Pads.

Regards .

For Hand Applicators, I do know that they come in Hydro Tech form all three colors, Crimson, Tangerine, And Cyan! I have the three pack in my wish list!:xyxthumbs:
Of which i do believe could work very well. Have yet to try them myself, but be advised, if using these dont forget to prime them first just like a buffing pad.
