I just bought a 2016 Suburban LTZ in black! I have a ton of detailing experience, especially with waxes and sealant but NEVER any coatings. I am thinking about using a coating, any recommendations of a good one that is VERY durable and is very easy to use?

I would also give the nod to gloss coat. Very easy to use and forgiving.

I've used PBL Diamond Paint Coating and Optimum Gloss Coat several times and both give great results. If I had to pick one I'd go with Optimum Gloss Coat - it is very user friendly, durability claims are 2-3 years and it looks fantastic. Put a coat of Opti Seal on afterwards and you are set.

I would say bulletproof is probably the easiest and you can layer it as soon as you are done with the 1st coat

Check out Polish Angel Viking coat the sister site carries it. Super easy to use. Just did my brand new car with it. Couldn't be happier.

Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Coating would also be a good choice. Easy to apply and good durability reviews. I just applied it to my wife's daily driver ('14 Buick LaCrosse) and it looks great! Only downside is price. If you need it right away and can't get it on sale, Gloss Coat may be your better option...

I'd suggest Cquartz or Cquartz UK. I found them both to be quite easy to use as long as you basically follow the instructions to the letter and do a small practice spot on your hood first to get the hang of it. Also quite durable and I think it looks great.
