I just had to share this!

After getting my oil changed yesterday I went up to my dad's cottage to help him put his 5 person fishing boat in the water. i was the last one there and the boat was already hooked up to the trailer. So I jumped in to connect the battery, put in the gas tank, drain any water etc.

So we launch it, drive back to the cottage, hoist it up, then when my brother goes to open a seat at the front to look for the window covers, he yells and drops it back down. Turns out a huge racoon was in there just looking at him! So we open the seat again and the thing turns around and heads through the oar passthroughs to the back of the boat then starts climbing out and walking along the siderail. My dad's buddy then pokes it with an oar and it goes "aaaah!" and falls over into the water. Did a dog paddle under the dock and wouldn't come out.

My dad's buddy was howling!

It's funny to look at something and realize it's staring back at you!

Animals are afraid of humans in general and will run away unless cornered, frightened, or their young are close by.....Then you're on the food chain!!

:iagree:
I have found nests, dog food, insulation, etc.... in the air filter box on several cars I was working on over the years. Check underneath your air filter to make sure the mice have not set up residence.

I've found that mice really like to chew up hood blankets to use as nesting materials, too....

If I were you Bobby, I would place a few Bounty sheets in various locations of your car. Mice/Rats are attracted to plastic. They "will" eat your wiring harness

Funny story though...

:iagree: Dryer sheets work for me. Just put them places where they could get in. Just remember to take them out before taking it for a spin!

Check for more Bobby!. We had a bunch nest in our riding mower a few years back.

This spring I helped a best friend prep his NSX (94 with almost no miles) for its first drive of the year. He pulled out of the driveway and shifted into first. The car sounded like a bucket of marbles. Long story short, a chipmunk has stashed dozen of acorns inside the extruded frame rails of his precious museum piece. Eventually we were able to extract all the debris, but it took most of a day. Pretty entertaining anyhow.
