I love autogeek but I have two complaints...

When I use to sell on EBay I had low price items and a shipping and handling fees to help me pay for my service of packing a package correctly and the trip to the carrier. I wasnt selling anything. So I decided to rise my prices on everything and offer free shipping.
Man ! That when my EBay store took off and I end up making a bigger profit. Where I became a power seller in no time. My family & friends were shock how good I was doing.
With that being said, me personally I just don't expect anything free. So when it is, I jump on it if it's something I want. Even thou I haven't order anything yet I believe AG really try's to make every customer happy. Which they know there going to come across that 1 special customer no matter what they do they want be satisfied.
Just my 2 cents.

So, would you rather pay a higher price for an item with free shipping, or very low price and you pay the shipping?

Jacking up the price and giving you free shipping is not really a deal...companies normally jack up the shipping price...we dont know any different. I still get a lower price and a total lower cost then AG. I get great customer service...he is only a call, text or facebook PM away.

funny.... since AG offers a written price guarantee. Only time I have seen it not work is when other business DIDN'T stock it or it wasn't the same product and size.

I order items from other companies that price match any item where in stock is not an issue as they drop ship the product from their source. With today's information technology knowing what supply levels are with the suppliers is always available. It is called supplier management. So an item that another vendor doesn't have in stock should not even be taken into account. Take for instance a Mytee carpet extractor who actually would stock them when the manufacturer would drop ship the item for AG or even Detail King as a reference company. This is all about running a business in the proper manner. A large retailer JC Penney just went to a different model were the prices are at the lowest available. No more sales, no coupons, just low prices. It works for me and they have me as a customer.

Pricing seems to be ok for me. I don't have time to price out every item and place numerous orders. But one thing really bugs me.

Stop using the shipping popcorn, that crap gets everywhere!

If you put a note in the comment box to pack with paper they will do it. I've recieved almost all of my orders with paper packing. :xyxthumbs:

I think that I first became an autogeek customber back in 2007. I was amazed at all of the cool car detail products under one roof. As time has gone on I have continued to purchase more and more to the point where I have quite an extensive collection of tools and I buy about $100 of products per month, usually $50 per two weeks.

Here is the rub... Autogeek's prices are the highest, usually on everything. This did not used to be a problem because the freeship coupon would put prices back in line, if not make Autogeek cheaper overall. In addition to that, on the rare occasion that I found something cheaper somewhere else Autogeek never wanted to match the prices. Sometimes I could get them to agree but then they would tryp to screw me on the shipping! The most recent case in point was last week on the snow cannon currently on sale with Chemical Guys with a 1 gallon Honeydew car wash soap - Chemical guys price was $95 and Autogeek's price was $140. Ultimately, they did not want to match the price because it was a different brand of snow cannon, I am not sure how they came to that conclusion but whatever. It's the same crap they always try to pull. In the end I purchased a snow cannon on eBay for $80 and it works great!

So here is the deal Autogeek...

We are all on a budget. We all know the other company's that operate in your space. We are loyal but we also need to watch our personal expenses. If you keep with the highest prices and shipping costs we will go elsewhere, it's not that we want to but we will. That's why I always call to give you the opportunity on the price match but with your answer always being not or yes with sky high shipping costs - that answer is really no as well. It's seems like either you are spending too much money on your videos or your overhead is too high because frankly from a price perspective you can't compete anymore.

Autogeek is an awesome site and company but don't forget, price is what's most important to us so please don't forget this.

You spoke to Ray on the phone and he explained the differences between the two Foam Cannons. Ray even offered to give you a deal on the Foam Cannon and the Chemical Guys shampoo since those were the two items you were interested in. The Foam Cannon we sell is the genuine Foam Cannon imported directly from Europe. A lot of companies sell a "similar" item but it is not of the same quality. It's one of those things where you get what you pay for.

We're more than happy to price match the same item, including the shipping charges if it happens to be less than ours. But in order to qualify for the price match policy, it has to be the same item. Same brand, same model. :dblthumb2:

I think it's hilarious when someone starts a rant thread that no one agrees with that they don't hardly bother to reply to defend anything they've said. Maybe some people just like to complain to complain, no matter how dumb of a topic.

JAF06SE - Appartently I am not like you, I don't think I need more posts or words to defend my point. Additionally, I don't like to piss and whine. You must be a pleasure to have a conversation or arguement with, always need to get in the last word? Let me guess what you will be doing this weekend, most likely alone?

Are we reading the same thread? Maybe you should go get your glasses on and read through it again. I'll be looking for your post after you do that. While not everyone agrees, I would say that about half of the posts are supportive of my position. Besides that's not the point, everyone has a different take and I made mine known. Why don't you come correct with an origainal opinion on something, anything -- you remind me of that scene in Trading Places when Eddie Murphy is in jail and the guy keeps saying "yea" when his friend is talking down to him.

In case you could not read between the lines, let me spell it out for you Sherlock... I love Autogeek, I have been a loyal customber. It just upsets me that they refuse to bend when a situation comes to them that is "out of their box." That's all.
