Everyone has to crawl before they can walk, and walk before they can run. Don't you think you should start the detailing business first? Sounds like you want to be big and successful straight out of the gate. But no one ever starts out that way.

IMO you could possibly be throwing your money down the drain on a marketing company that isnt local to you. Here is what i suggest. The marketing aspect of owning a detailing business isnt the hardest part. If you are gungho on having some one handle the marketing for you id really suggest some one in your area that understands your market. However some things you can do on your own is google adwords, facebook boosting, news paper listings, local forums, yelp advertising, and managing your website so it can rank.

First, read Renny Doyle's book. Then, think very hard about how much you want to invest in broad marketing efforts.
Branding on the other hand is very important, but you don't really need someone else to tell you how to brand yourself. With small scale (<5 locations) service based companies, that's a matter of how you want to do business and your personality.

if you're clueless about marketing then it sure it
everything that you do in marketing should be measurable (if possible)
and if you can't measure it.. don't do it

I don't under stand people know days everyone thinks they can start a detailing business. It's one of the hardest business to get going and build a good customer base. Then making a good living is even harder and takes time. I really have to laugh people on here that only have a business going for 6 months and cry about having no business. It doesn't happen over night and took me 3 years to be booked out 4-6 weeks with 10+ hours days 6-7 days a week. I'm know mostly doing exterior,paint correction coatings where all the money at.
