I need some help on backing plates...

I have the Griot's DA, awesome mechine...I was thinking about switching to 5.5 pads.

Will the Meguiar's DA backing plate work on my Griot?
Meguiars Mirror Glaze G110 DA Polisher 5 inch Backing Plate

Or should I look at the LC backing plate? Will this work with my DA?
lake country 5 inch backing plate, 5 inch backin plate, 5 inch hook and loop backing plate

Sparkie, all the 5" bp for the da will fit your Griot. For the smaller 3 and 4" pads... I like to use the rotary bp with an adapter.

If it has a 5/16" 24 thread it will fit your griot.

BTW I've broken 2 LC 4" bp, so go to a rotary bc with an adapter. That goes for the 3" also. The last plate broke while doing my headlight and put a deep scratch in it.. glad it wasn't my paint. The plate went flying.. lucky no one got hurt. Those were used on an old PC... can you imagine if it was on Griot with so much more power?
