Menzerna SIP and 085rd are the way to start ... with that marring likely a polisher and Megs DA or Surbuf pads might be needed initially.

Oscar, what product did you jewel that Lexus with? It looks Great!

I used the one and almighty PO85RD. I believe what also contributes to that look is the fact that it has no orange peel. I had wet sanded the entire hood and started with a wool pad and m105. Then Orange pad and m105, White pad and m205 and then black pad PO85RD. i will stress it enough as i can, if you really want to see PO85RD do some magic, you need to use it with a rotary. :xyxthumbs:

Hey man by any chance, correct me if im wrong, is your name Philip? Im asking this because i used to know a guy who had a black Mach1 and sold it or traded it for a Vette just like yours.

It was awesome, it sure was awesome to see all those Underground Racing Lambos smoking bikes at I-10 . I didnt have my car up running so i couldnt take it, but for sure next year i will.

Well I just pulled the trigger and got the PC 7424XP, a 6pack of LC 5.5 flat pads, the 5in hook and loop backing plate and the Menzerna Power Gloss, Power Finish & Super Finish Bundle.

Let the waiting begin

I just used Wolgang Swirl Remover + Glaze + Sealer on my black truck. It took out all the swirls (it did leave some scratches, so I'll probably try M105 next). But again, every single swirl is gone.The swirls in my truck were much worse than the vette and it's a daily driver, so it's seen a lot of abuse. The end shine after using all 3 products is unbelievable.

Well, here are my weapons of destruction

I started off with only the Menzerna products in order. That did not do good enough. THen I went back and tried some scratchX with a yellow pad and that worked out some more water spots. I figured at that point that I needed more aggression so I went and got some 105 and some show glaze. So after the 105 I used the super polish and followed with a coat of glaze on a blue pad. I must be doing something wrong or this car just need wet sanding but here are a few pics anyhow.

At this rate it will take me a month to finish lol Its taken me 2 days just to do the trunk.
