I need to move to Florida

I would love too, work in an Awesome environment with very cool people, buy a boat and go diving on the weekends...Close to the islands......Buy a fresh jar of Souveran and take it home with me same day......livin the dream.....

:awesome::awesome::awesome:

However, my better halfs family is here, so it looks like Denver is where I'm staying for now anyways.. at least I can snowboard all winter.....

Would rather be diving though. :(

Neothin--you would have had an apoplectic fit the year lovebugs came out. Nobody had ever seen them before, and I remember that summer clearly (early 70's can't remember exactly which year, though) because driving from Tallahassee to Tampa to see my grandparents we had to stop once per hour to hose off the grill of the car. The bugs were so thick they'd clog your radiator if you didn't. And stink...O my hell. We didn't have A/C in our old Dodge Dart...I can't even begin to describe the rancid smell of all those flattened lovebugs roasting on the hot hood and grill of the car. Nauseating.

Thank the gods they're not so bad anymore. I've never heard if they determined where lovebugs came from or why they were so bad those first few years. Does anyone here know?

Scott forgot about the Burmese pythons going around eating people's pets AND the alligators http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/10/1006_051006_pythoneatsgator.html
as well as the monitor lizards roaming people's yards. I'm just waiting to hear one day that someone has found a cobra nest under their house or a bushmaster hanging from from a melaleucca tree. **shudder**

But everybody else is spot-on :righton: about the upsides to living in FL...including (or perhaps especially) getting our autogeek orders in a day.

Speaking of which...mine got here today. I haven't opened it yet because I'm still at work, but my roomie called me to tell me it had arrived. Woot!! Great service, autogeek!! :applause:

South Fl is for city slickers which I'm not I have always wanted to stay in so Flo but always wanted to live in the counrty (Georgia). I have always loved the twisting country roads with plenty of historical homes/towns. Sadly so Flo started to lose that for high raises, I love old historical buildings/streets here what I love

I live in central Florida, just north of Tampa and it is VERY country where I live. You don't have to be a city slicker here, in fact, you'd be better off NOT being one. Did anyone see "The Daily Show" where they featured a city that had "Cooter Fest" and poked fun at the name and such? Well, I reside 3 miles from Cooter Pond, where "Cooter Fest" is every year:p How's that for country!!! lol

Actually, it's a very nice place to live, not tooo country, not toooo city slicker and everything within 30-60 miles (Tampa, St. Pete, Orlando, Ocala, etc.)
