Hey folks!

Haven’t been on in a bit. Work, life…. Busy!

LOL so the reason for the title of this post… my husband bought a Jeep.
He hasn’t had one in about 8 years now.

Well this thing came up from Texas and it has seen better days.
Not only does it needs some repairs, but it’s a mess inside and out!

It’s a 2004 Rubicon.
I’m going to take pics as I go.
I am looking forward to the challenge of this.

As Roger would say, “stay tuned”.
:xyxthumbs:

Subscribed and nice using my little phrase Monica!

I'm waiting for your new Bronco...stay "tuned"

It’s a good phrase :xyxthumbs:

Bronco is still ordered… just don’t have a delivery date.
I have a Ranger on order too :D

Nice! Good luck to ya. Jeeps have to be the one vehicle that I personally don’t like detailing.

Seriously! The carpet and seats seems to not want to release hair and dirt, they all seem to be caked with mud inside and out, and those flares…

On the plus side he bought new carpet for it so that’s one less thing to deal with.

Did you order a 4 door or 2 door Bronco, Monica?

My husband ordered a 2 door Im the MAN

We got our first one in on Thursday. It was ordered the first day that Ford took orders for them.

Are you referring to the new carpet?
Or the 2-door Bronco?
The Bronco I know the 4 door accommodates more people but the 2 door looks amazing! If I were to have one it would be a 2dr in that orange with a custom painted off white roof and matching colored 1552 wheels that are that HD lookin' style and 37" tires w/ a proportioned lift. Killer aux lights on the front!

Not that you’ve considered one for yourself. Nope, not at all. :)

So here's the Jeep as it sits... outside was not touched minus a quick wipe of Stoner's Trim on the flares:

I didn't get a good shot of the interior for the "before" shot.
I do have one from the previous owner he sent my husband before he drove it up. You get the ideal of the situation I'm dealing with LOL :bolt:

BEFORE:

And here it is after I worked some magic. The carpet has been removed. The new ones has not been installed yet.

AFTER:

I'll be posting more shots here as I go... hoping to get to see exterior work in the next week... might not be till next weekend though.
The husband will also be doing some repairs as we go.

"Stay tuned" :xyxthumbs:

I see a case of aerosol tire product in your future Monica because those sidewalls are basically the tread gone wild and overgrown

Those tires will be gone tomorrow actually, so not worrying about it :D

Well I'm not a Jeep person so I wouldn't understand but that style tire/stock rims doesn't look quite right IMO, sounds like that's being addressed

I am not a fan of that particular brand tire. But they are 37" so they look very different from the usual low-profile you see.
He plans to 4-wheel so that's the point of them.
But the rims are stock Moab Rubicon wheels and sought after.

I'm proof of that saying "It's a Jeep thing...you wouldn't understand"

I'm glad he's going to be off-roading it, does it have the straight 6 or V6? I do know they made the switch but have no idea what year w/o looking it up
