I now have my detailing Everest

I didn't get a good shot of the interior for the "before" shot.
I do have one from the previous owner he sent my husband before he drove it up. You get the ideal of the situation I'm dealing with LOL :bolt:

BEFORE:

I'll be posting more shots here as I go... hoping to get to see exterior work in the next week... might not be till next weekend though.
The husband will also be doing some repairs as we go.

"Stay tuned" :xyxthumbs:

That’s the interior picture they send when they’re trying to sell it? At least you know they’re honest!

That blue is gonna look amazing! Looking forward to watching the updates. :xyxthumbs:

Right?

I think it’s going to have a fantastic makeover.
I will definitely keep updating this thread :xyxthumbs:

I'm proof of that saying "It's a Jeep thing...you wouldn't understand"

I'm glad he's going to be off-roading it, does it have the straight 6 or V6? I do know they made the switch but have no idea what year w/o looking it up

If it's stock its the 4.0 inline 6.

Nice TJ!

It’s the straight 6 :xyxthumbs: Great engine.

I'm confident this Jeep will look better than new when you're done.

Looking forward to the after pics.

:buffing:

Thx Mike! I’ll do my best :xyxthumbs:

The engine is stock, so yup, it’s the inline 6 :D

Update:

Removed the hardtop. Bought a soft top so that needs to be installed (a few pieces still need to be delivered).
Finished removing the last of the nasty roll bar cover.
New tires installed today along wit new shocks on the front (which you can't see).
Re-vacuumed out the interior as well as wiped down areas that were missed/couldn't get to before.
Wheels were sprayed down but need to be really gone over.
Husband Rustoleum'd side rockers:

Better be some damn pics, missy!:laughing::awesome:

Husband took some pics this more.
Carpet is 95% in. Need a few things at the hardware store.

Flex is due to arrive tomorrow (does happy dance).

Great turnaround so far Monica

Thx Roger.
It's a joint effort for sure... the husband is more on the mechanical side, and I'm overseeing the "cleanup" LOL

I think overall this Jeep is going to look 150% better than when we got it :xyxthumbs:

That looks a thousand times better, Monica. :props:

More work on the Jeep over the weekend.

Carpet install was completed (had to notched out a few spots in the back of it).

Frame rail and diamond plate painted:

Also the speakers were flipped and re-mounted on the inside of the roll bar:

Better than any "reality show" on whatever the car channel is called now, cut the cord a year and a half ago so I have no idea

Those car restoration shows that have the "fake drama" when restoring something. Your putting your head down and knocking it out, that's the way its supposed to be

Saying your thread is better than a car detailing show. He doesn’t know what the show is called as he no longer has Cable TV or satellite (cut the chord).

Ahhhhh gotcha.
We actually got rid of cable/satellite a few years ago now. But we do stream stuff.

Yup, nothing fake here. It's not a full restoration or anything, but there is repairs for sure.

I may try to get a wash in today. The final top parts are due to arrive today so I'm dying to get to the outside. There is a layer of filth on the paint I at least just want to wash off!
It's driving me NUTS!!!!!!!!!

I have Thursday and Friday off work... Thursday it's going in for inspection and new rear axles so I probably won't get to mess with it until Friday.
But that gives me 3 full days of :buffing:

New top was put on :xyxthumbs:

Inspection yesterday... 3 minor things failed which is pretty awesome for a 17 year old vehicle.

FINALLY get to start addressing the paint.
I will take LOTS of BEFORE photos of this one :D

Stay tuned!
