I Think I Screwed Up

I had my first experience with 3M IHG this weekend. I applied it with a white pad on my PC, then got called away for 3 hours before I was able to get back to remove it. It did not want to come off. After four hours I finally got the majority of it off.

The first question is what did I do wrong? The second question is how do I get rid of the "blotchy" spots that still remain without making it worse?

Apply more product, it should come right off... you should never let compounds dry.

Wash it ..... polishes break down rather quickly with soap/water, and you can see if the finish needs redoing.

I haven't used IHG in a while but I do remember that if applied too thick it's a PITA to remove. Try using less product and with a PC do one section at a time.
