An update:
I used the white pad with the ultimate polish and I was finally able to get some swirl marks out. My uneducated theory is that BMW clear coat is super hard. I tried using the green pad with Meguire's Ultimate compound ( I think it's equivalent to M105) and that wasn't taking many swirl marks off.

Thank you, I just read it right after I posted! They are like swirls, but not as many....correct?
No, not really. Literally any random scratch in your car that does not have a pattern.
