Looks like fun. Might take a little work since it's textured and not smooth like most.

ya..:( thats where the sanding would come in...just wanna know best steps to use and what sand paper

You would definitely have to sand it and goes through different grades of sandpaper before you polish it. It will also be hard to sand the area with letters and numbers. If I was going to do it I would go from 60/100/150/320/400/600 before polishing. I would be a lot of work

ya i dont mind the work ill be doing it over about a 2 week period..but thanks :)

Use power tools to help you on your quest and you will be fine. but like they said it would be a lot of work.

Eastwood co. has a nice polishing kit for that, also the way Gary said to go is another way to go. I did the samething to a pair of 5.0 valve covers back in 1988, took some time but looked great when finished. Chroming the turbo would hold in heat.

send it out ... have powdercoated or chrome dipped.

polishing your Turbo? Man just be careful, you dont want to be doing that in public...you could get arrested for public indecency!

hahah come onnnnn lol.i dont wanna send it off..i like doin things myself...ill just give it a shot

if you want to remove the lettering and raised numbers and stuff, get a dremel tool to grind that stuff off. then your going to need to use a pretty rough grit of paper to get the texture down a bit, then just keep using finer and finer grits of paper, eventually wetsanding. lots of wetsanding will polish it up very nice, then just go over it with basically a metal polish. this is pretty much what my brother did for his intercooler piping and in the end it looked almost like chrome, it was amazing
