IMO the best ice scrapers have brass edges. Much better than plastic and don't scratch glass. Unfortunately AG does not carry them. But it would be nice if they did. hint, hint

But plastic scrapers don't scratch the glass, it's the *#$%^ grit from the salt and sand on the road that scratches it when you scrape the window...or are you saying that the grit gets embedded in the plastic but doesn't in the brass?

Mike, For a guy who moved from California to Florida, I am still surprised (and I bet the Floridians are too) that you drove to work with the top down on a cold morning like this. :xyxthumbs: It will be 25 degrees here tonight. Brrrrr!!!

Last winter my boss and I drove to Minneapolis/St.Paul on business and when we stopped to get gas in Minneapolis one of the locals was wearing a jean jacket and giggling when he asked "You guys aren't from around here are you?" It was 26 below zero with no wind.

Funny thing is Mike is wearing shorts today! So not only is it cold, he does not have doors on the vehicle nor a top, but he didn't put any warm pants on! I think that is why I see him drinking a lot of coffee today!

Was just saying that the brass didn't scratch glass
 
I've scraped and chipped the ice off of my share of windshields over the years, but I did not have to do any scrapping this morning (garage). :)

I did plow my driveway this morning, though. Got a couple inches last night.

We got dumped on with a little over 2 feet of snow during one day last year (freak storm) and I plowed it all as well as my neighbors driveway with it. It's 4 wheel drive, so it does pretty good. I did have to take the top layer of snow off with the plow all the way in the up position on the first pass and then come back and finish it off with the plow down when it was that deep though. I had to break open my neighbors driveway and do the first pass on everything while he followed up behind me on his riding mower with plow cleaning up his driveway. It took a while, but it was fun. :xyxthumbs:

As far as wax... I pretty much only use a quik detailer or a spray wax and occasionally some trim dressing on the plastic fender flares. :)

Usually, the end of January and start of February is when there is a nip in the air. It seems to always be cold when we are on our snowmobile trip in northern MN. There have been several days we've been riding the sleds when it is -30* or colder in the Ely or Embarrass, MN area.

Actually, my roots are Oregon... lots of trucks in Oregon... I was the second guy in town to get a set of 40" Swampers when they were first introduced in the early 1980's, my best friend Eric was the first guy.

Technically its a GMC Jimmy but same thing... I gave away the 350 small block and installed a 454 Magnum Roller Cam Big Block, which is actually a Marine Engine. Also installed a 700R4 built up by Dana Sniff in SoCal, he races a 7 second 1967 Mustang and build all Body Coddington's transmissions plus others I don't know about.

This is actually my 4th full convertible Blazer/Jimmy, I've had a 1969, 2 1973's and this 1975
