If you were going to use products from only one company

Fixed it for you

If I had to pick one and one only it would be Sal's stuff.
Still part of my formula, although I find a topcoat of Fuzion after the Z stuff is best for shows.

No really, DG, I swear.

If you are going to go after a company that offers everything under the sun for the vehicle without missing a beat then it would have to be Meguiar's. IMO Meguiar's has the most complete lineup of products needed for whatever you may come across.

Other companies come close and some are right up there with Meguiar's but in this case Meguiar's does it all with a long history of knowledge and know how. That right there is key.

Sal has made a lot of nice products, my hat's off to him. In fact, I found a bottle of Sal's Vinyl-Rubber Treatment I didn't even know I had, bought about 2 years ago, and only discovered 2 weeks ago. It worked nice.

His Leather Conditioners, his sealants have all worked quite nicely. Sometimes a bit difficult to remove, seemingly a bit tempermental, but I've had basically good success with them here in the Desert Southwest on any given day.

Like others have found home uses for many of these great products, so have I.

My VPI Turntable currently sits, lathered with Sal's Z2 Sealant. Looks like I shot clear Laquer on the Oak Base, it glows, and has gotten high praise from the manufacturer themselves as a job well done. I've got $6,000 hanging in that Turntable. (A cheapie in the actual realm of things audio)

One downside with so many fine products, and one that some might ignore, is Meguiars.
Meguiars makes so many fine products, but sadly, one cannot walk into any establishment, and find their entire line of really good products. Just dribs, and drabs here and there, and IMO it makes Meguiars somehow look like the "Turtle Wax" of the car care empire.

For ease of use, #20 Pro Poly Sealant is one of the easiest on-off products I've ever used period. And I always liked it. Mark

Meguiars.

But then, I'll add that I am constantly trying new stuff to find the best of breeds in waxes, selants, polishes, pads, etc.. So, my tub of goops and unguents is quite mixed. Meguiars, though, always offers at least a good product for each category (and sometimes the best that I've found . . . so far.)

It used to be Meguiars for me, but now not so sure. Quite honestly, please do not make me ever do it, I dont wanna! I like variety!

Meguiar's for me.

^^^^

Meg's all day. Naturally as an enthusiast I use and love to try other brands. There are many high quality brands that offer great products such as Menzerna.

I think a good detailer sticks to one line of products, but a GREAT detailer uses a variety of different product lines that maximize the brands strongpoints and caters to the desired outcome.

For example I use alot of Mother's quick detailers. I use Megs polishes, compounds, sealants. Optimum washes, CG tire cleaners etc. In my personal opinion Meguiar's has proven itself to be a top contender in the world of production as well as enthusiast detailing. M26, M21 & their pads are the most under rated products IMO.

If we're talking about one brand, I would go with Optimum or Meguiars. Having said that, I'm a detail/spray wax junkie, so I do stray. LOL

If we're talking one stop shop, then AG for all the usual reasons.

Agree. I used to shop at ADS until they ticked me off, they never have anything in stock!

Oh without a doubt my friend and family would say I'm a Meguiar's (rhymes with boar).

Although I would think that in this day we all need to look at the specialty products and coatings offered by Optimum (and others) for those vehicles that really benefit from them.

^^ Agree

Everybody is saying Meguirs or Chemical guys, etc...
Whats your take on BlackFire?

Its actually Meguiar's...

People are just stating their most favorite go to brands. Blackfire makes the best Microfiber cleaner IMO, and they have some really nice sealants too.

I mean I've seen it mentioned on MOL, but they've never said it was one of their products. I remember a thread over a year ago when someone said the manufacturer of Blackfire was going out of business, posted a link to a 'fire sale' which btw to this day ends up at a PBMA site. ;)

ATEOTD (at the end of the day) I have no idea how many different Meguiars products alone I must have sitting in the garage. Then add *just* the new stuff you see here and there OTC along with getting snookered attending a car show and WHAM it's time for more shelves.

But the "coupe de grace" (as we sometimes say) :buffing: is the wonderful world of AGO!!! So many great products right there at our fingertips just screaming for their own place on our shelves. I honestly don't know what in the world anyone would do, or even needs with 100 different scents, flavors, colors, textures, packages, boxes, pots, bottles, sprayers full of waxes alone but it sure does make me want them. Jus' sayin'....

The actual manufacturer of Blackfire is still alive and kicking, the original retailer on the other hand rode off into the sunset not long ago. Along with the purchase of the line, Proper Auto Care and Truth In Detailing domain spaces were part of it and the redirects are in place to bring you back to a PBMG page.

Oh no I think you misunderstood my post. I was refering to the guy above who posted "meguirs" instead of Meguiar's. Which by the way is the most mispronounced car product name out there.

Thats why I buy from AGO. They carry all kinds of product lines to fit almost everyones taste :)

Ahhhhh "I see" said the blind man!

But seriously brother, AG is the way to go. No matter what you're looking for, no matter WHO makes it, no matter if you have NO CLUE how to use it, then THIS is the place to be! You can find it, you'll get it, and you'll know how to use it before it shows up at your doorstep. What do they call that???? Oh, win, WIN, W-I-N!:xyxthumbs:
