Of the Poorboy's polishes, if you had ONE choice which would it be? I am leaning toward 2.5 as a good "overall" polish. I have Wolfgang polish, which works well, but sometimes I need something with a bit more bite. This would be applied with a PC and the appropriate pad for the job at hand. If marks were left (doubtful but possible) the Wolfgang should take care of that before the next step.

What say Ye fellow polishers?

I highly suggest the combo, you will likely see faint holograms or micromarring after 2.5 and need 1.0 to finish.

Even though I have Wolfgang (bought from you)?

Unless the Wolfgang Finishing Glaze, then I still suggest the twins. The Wolfgang polish would actually fall in the middle of 1.0 and 2.5. And if you are paying for shipping, why not get both while on the end of the sale anyways, well unless your ready for XMT 1 and 3 ??

Killer i have use the WG glaze. This is an outstanding product. This is the gaze and then topped with WG sealant.

I should have clarified; I have the polish and glaze from Wolfgang. I thought that with both, I could diminish any possible marks left with Poorboy's 2.5. Is this not correct?
Surely the Wolfgang products would smooth out the finish and make it ready for an LSP........Yes? No? My question is ....Why buy #1 since I have these other two products that work extremely well?

My ignorance will thrill the board here......WHAT Combo? I'm willing to purchase if you will define. I thought the two Wolfgang products would smooth out any possible problems (if any) left by the 2.5.

Poorboys SSR 2.5 and 1

Although he did say you could probably get away with just buying ssr 2.5 and using your glaze.

If im not mistaking the WG Polish will be fine after using SSR 2.5. No need for both to do the same detail..Killer what are thoughts on my reply?

He wants to try to NOT buy any new products if he can help it. Don't know if he has optimum.

I'm kind ain the same boat, I have Opt polish, think I am just going to get the Opt compound and be done with it, opposed to the two PB's. Then again, I love their products!

I love PB products. I also love the way Natty's blue smells. Haha :D Never tried Optimum. Have you tried PB and how do they compare?

Thank you but Optimum was not brought up, I asked for opinions on a specific product.

I'm still at a loss.........One side says the Wolfgang Polish and Glaze should work, the other says buy Poorboy's 1 in addition. Which would provide (more than) satisfatory results? Money IS an object!

Well your best results will come from buying the SSR 1. You will get reasonable results from using your products that you currently own. Poorboy's sale is ending soon, so I would consider that as well.

I've had great results with SSR2.5. My car was a disaster when I got it back from the repair shop and 2.5 took care of about 95% of the damage. I followed up with SSR1 to remove anything left by 2.5. You should be able to use WG to follow up. Or not to dump more choices at you. I've been reading a lot of great things about Poorboy's ProPolish. Very versatile product. Strong enough to remove minor webbing and imperfection, soft enough to just clean up and enhance your finish. I haven't picked up a bottle yet because I'm not ready for polishing again quiet yet. You could pick up a bottle instead of the SSR1 as it should work just as well. Their still is an on going debate over how different they really are.
To top all that off I've got an itching to try the XMT line.

Thanks to all for their replies. In this case it sounds like it would be prudent to get both the 2.5 & 1. Although the WG might be just fine I'd hate to be in the middle of a job and find out that it did not work as well as hoped. Pay me now or pay me later kind of deal.

Thanks again all!
