Oh, the things I would do differently if I could go back to 15!! This kid seems like he has a good head on his shoulders and comes off as much older than his age. Keep up the good work! :xyxthumbs:

congrats man! I started detailing family and friends cars at age 16. Im 20 now and just finished setting up an 6x10 Enclosed Trailer and am going fully mobile. I wish i would have found this forum years ago. There is a plethora of knowledge to be gained. Good luck!

DUDE! Absolutely amazing...and you're on the right forum to become a spectacular detailer. (Make sure you pay your taxes!)

Congrats!

I also started my first detail shop at the age of 17 in Newport Beach. If you know California .......... first in Newport Beach and then Pomona & Irvine.

Now I'm doing the same thing here in Austin ....... enjoy yourself! :props:

Trust me it beats mowing yards! That's what I was doing at your age to make the money, was a lot of work with little money. At least cleaning cars is a lot of work and decent money :) Hopefully your passion will build as you see your results getting better and better with every detail! GL with your new business!

congrats!!! most kids ur age are lazy . u have a good head on ur shoulders. good luck with the detailing...:xyxthumbs:

I love this kid. God Bless you and keep up the good work.

Keep it up!

remember people will doubt you because of your age. so your image is important. be sure you have professional looking materials (business cards, invoices, ect..) and as long as you act professional and mature. you will quickly gain peoples respect and hopefully pick up more clients.

Also dont let people try to sell you short because of your age. If you are offering a professional service then charge for it.

Ive been a self employed business owner since i was 19. I now own a Photography and Graphic Design firm and as well my own Detailing business that my brother and I operate. Im 24 now.

you have a head start. Keep up the good work.

oh and,

Do Work Son!

Tyrod is right. I should know because I mowed lawns from 12yrs. to 18yrs. Good luck.

That's just awesome! A motivated teen! There is STILL hope in the world!:dblthumb2:

Very cool!!! And only a few days left til you're 16! The bike idea sounds awesome. Good Luck! :)

As silly as it may sound, i put all my detailing supplies in a baby trailer and ride around town!

I plan on getting my Permit / License this year or next year because i turn 16 on Oct 11th.
I need a good report card in order to pay less for insurance :props:

HAHAHA thats the ultimate legitimate hustle. I started at the same age but my friends mom ran a clothing business out of her house so I did express details on all the cars. Remember to save a portion of the money you make.

Congrats! And way to think outside the box and do what you have to do with what you have. I often think back on how far I would be in this business if I started out when I was younger.

Best of luck to you in your new endeavor :dblthumb2:

Hats off to you speakerguy! :dblthumb2:

As everyone else has said good job and keep it up. I started when i was 12 with a friend of mine and just kept learning from the "old pros" and in no time i was getting side jobs faster then i could keep up with, between health issues and school which didnt pan out so well, but eh owell. Im behind ya bud :props::props:
