I'm going nuts! The weather is beautiful, the wife has nothing for me to do and it's been 7 days since I applied the McKee's 37 Paint Coating, so according to the instructions, the car is OK to wash.

BUT! There's no shade and my black car is in direct sun and the paint is HOT! The car hasn't been washed in a week, it's been rained on, dusted on and there's so much yellow pollen on the car it looks like it has gold metal flake paint.

Is there any relief from this madness?

Find shade if possible or rinseless wash

I'd have to break out numerous microfibers and either RW or sun safe detailing spray ( sprayed on towel, of course )

Buy a white car, I washed all three today for the first time in 2 months :props:

You missed those AWFUL green marks on the drivers side rear QP.

Funny, they look like palm leaves.

Anyway, pay more attention next time, Mark.

The whites (and off whites) look noticeably better than the whites of past decades.

Plus, the LSP's of today show white off a lot better. I remember Mike Phillips posting that he disliked working on white paint because it didn't show his efforts well. That seems to be changing.

I think I'm heading for a PA experience.

I feel better, I waited about 45 minutes and the sun had gone down far enough and it clouded over a bit and I was able to give it a proper bath. Then I sat on the porch with a tall, cold glass of lemonade and watched the pollen re-accumulate all over the car :surrender:

Well, the wife DID give me a choice ... this one, or a different black one but with WHITE stripes. LOL
