So as stated above im starting a mobile detailing business in my area. Right now im trying to figure out a name. Here are some ive came up with. I want your guys honest opinion on the names.

All american mobile detailing
Exclusive mobile detailing
Fine touch mobile detailing
BD mobile detailing (my first and last initials)
Show time mobile detailing
Show off mobile detailing
A2Z mobile detailing
Ultimate sheen mobile detailing

here are some funny ones ive thought of just for the laugh that id never use.

Mr. Miyagi mobile detailing "wax on wax off"
Rub job mobile detailing "always a happy ending here"
She wants the D (d as in detailing )

im just starting out so my initial client base would be your average joe. However id like a name that would allow me to expand and do fleets, semi trucks, boats, motor cycles, and air craft and sound professional. Any opinions or ideas will help me. If you have heard of some catchy or good names or have one your self please share it. Im not going to try stealing the name it will just help me brain storm.

Thanks guys :)

In my opinion those names are way to long. Get rid of "mobile". Its not needed and if you ever get a shop your screwed.

Make a list of running detailing business names and another list with industry words. Then start mixing a couple.

This.

If I had to choose from your list I'd go with All American Detailing or Fine Touch Detailing.

Thanks for the advice. I think im liking A2Z Detailing what do you think?
IMO it lets the prospective client know that i dont just do cars and that my service basically is applied to anything from a beat up car to a G6 jet.

to me , you sound like you are limit yourself.... and you are not even started...

for name... think where you wanna be 5 years from now... and you will find the right name

Yeah all american detailing is my second choice. The name is easy to remember and the logo would be pretty easy to create as i could shorten it to AA detailing.

choose something local , will help you on search engines too ;)

Here's some quick steps on how I started mine just last year.

-Choose name
-Build website (I used weebly)
-Build facebook, twitter, google+, istagram pages
-Buy pre-paid flip phone
-Buy company shirts
-Buy business cards
-Slowing buy all the tools/supplies
-Prepare your mobile vehicle
-Write all of your business info: business plan, invoices, price list, warranty, etc....
-Get all the licenses: business, reseller's, fictious name, insurance, etc...

This was a 6 month process while I was working full time installing clear bra for another company. I left on good terms with my old boss. So he still uses me as a 1099 contractor about 2-3 times every week!

IMO putting your first name looks really good, more persoanal.

ive decided to go with A2Z detailing. The reason i went with A2Z detailing was It begins with the letter A so it will help with putting me at the top of lists, Its an easy name to remember, and it gives the impression that im not only limited to cars.

My next step is on thurs im going to a workshop at score so i can get some more info on starting a small business, then im going to buy some equipment that i dont yet have, after that im going to get my DBA and buy my domain name, start a budget website, look into insurance, then advertise and sell my self. Ill start small as to not overwhelm my self initially. Once i get my prices right and iron out all the wrinkles then ill start going after bigger clients like the private air port in my area, trucking companies, harbors ect.

The area i live in isnt a very wealthy area. I have lake tahoe by me which may be my best clients who knows.

Thats a good idea @hateswirls and i think, from what ive read, when your name is in the business name it doesnt cost anything for your DBA

@pacificautofilm i completely forgot about pre paid phones. The phone thing has kinda been an issue because i get on avg 5 calls for a woman named julie green who i have know idea who she is and apparently she owes every tom d*** and harry so ive gotten to a point where i dont even answer my phone any more. if some one important needs to get a hold of me they will leave a msg or txt me. looks like ill have to add a pre paid phone to the list. thank you

You could also get a Google voice number which will forward to your cell phone.

I think I looked into that but it will share your voicemail box.

That's why I didn't use it cause I started my business while working for some else. Didn't want my boss to call my cell and find out.

Be sure to use something original so when they search for you, they find you. Google the names you want, run them in your States registry of businesses, then choose wisely.

So I bought my domain name last night. I had a change of heart last min and went with another name. a2z detailing worked but it didn't pop to me. I ended up going with NoLimitsDetailing.com Now im going to work on setting up the website. Im thinking of using wix.com for my web design and hosting since its free. Has any one used wix that can give me their opinion on it? I figure ill start the website on a budget now and once I start seeing a return on my dollar then ill pay some one to do a professional website.

A website really isn't that hard to design. For someone just starting out you would be crazy to spend money having someone build you a website. That is a big expense that you could put towards equipment or supplies. I had no previous experience in website design, and put my site together in over a period of a week or two. Also it will be something good for you to learn, because your website is a very useful tool that you should know how to operate.

If you click the image in my sig. it will take you to my website. Mine is a free site, that cost me $20 to purchase my domain name.

Looks good who's your host and do you know if they will allow me to provide my own domain? Also what font is that on your logo???
