I'm watching TV and there's one of those "MAN MADE" shows about incredible man made things. This one is about a catamaran-style ferry being built to shuttle people between the Hawaii islands and they were talking about the paint job it got. Then they showed a guy with a PC buffing it with what looked like a 6.5" pad. Imagine this job! :awesome:

Hawaii Superferry - Photos

300 feet long and "nearly as wide" - good gawd!

He probably finishes and has to go to the front and start all over again.

they could just hire the AutoGeek army. We could all fly down with our gear, and everyone take a section :D
LOL

Me and 20 of my friends repainted the bottom of 200 20feets boats... That was not a good time! :P

mmm...that would be fun to detail the exterior, I'll take the exterior any day compared to the interior hahahahaha.

Looks big but it can be done, heck even one person could do it as long as the approproate time is allowed it can be done :D

Size don't mean a thing anymore to me, just time ;)

I think Nica could do that....he has everything he needs..plus does outstanding work....but he may need lots of floating staging to get the sides done....I am looking online for a good deal for you now Carlos.....LOL....

AL

I watched the making of this boat on national geographic today...it was built in alabama and took 2 years to build..it is as long as a football and almost as wide..the paint is a special silicone paint that is super slick to keep from bringing organisims back from one island to another...it took 12,000 gallons to complete the job with a total of 3 layers..the boat can travel at 40 knots thru the roughest of waters bringing commuters from one island to the next in under 4hrs..

^^
You were watching the same show I was ;)

Nica's next special project! I can almost picture it now.. If it weren't for the intense reflection practially blinding my vision....

hahahaha...thanks for helping Al hahahaha...let me know how much ;)

Oh if such an opportunity does come up that would top everything I've detailed to date. I still haven't found anything to top the airplane, the fire truck was okay but not as big as the airplane....mmmm...I've got additional "special projects" coming up nothing this big hahahaha...I'm always up for a challenge but a beast that big man it would take me weeks if not months to detail it..mmm...I wonder though.

joe.P - I wonder if the paint is like those ceramic clear coat ;) just teasing buddy...but 2 years to complete  wow
