Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

Mike,
You really need to send them a cease and desist letter, if you dont they will continue with this unacceptable behavior, if you dont mind them using it at least have them give you credit. You can read some more about it here and they have a sample that you could follow.

I have done this in the past when I have found my photos stolen, they usually offer to pay or take them down. That isnt cool at all to take someone else's work.

I wouldn't worry too much. The guy can't even spell San Diego correctly. Any customer that goes to him is probably not worth the trouble. Last thing I would want is a detailer who makes mistakes on the details. I would think the city your business is in would be low hanging fruit, too bad he flubbed it. Diego does have 3 syllables so I will cut him a little slack.

If I'm not mistaken, cant you embed each photo so it cannot be copied and pasted??

What a load of crap... Stuff like this really piss me off. Is he that lazy to take his own photos? And he state his stuff are copy righted.

Big Fail... written all over the website.

Think your title of this thread says it all.:props: For those worried about getting their photos copied, just put a water mark with your name or such on the photos you upload. LegacyGT(Bill) always does it and I do not blame him since he takes such fantastic photos.
If someone copied one of my photos, I would also be flattered because I am a terrible photographer. :D

The links that Mike has in the first post are now...DEAD!

Hmmm, me thinks someone has gotten 'the word'.

Tracking down and dealing with every person that's ever used any of my photos would be a full time job. I have over 3000 on MOL and a quick look here on AGO shows I have 11,079 photos on the AGO Photo Gallery.

The swirled out BMW picture is the one I see the most often borrowed, the pictures from this thread,

I used this car to show what could be done with the right pads, product and tools for the 2002 Bimmerfest in Santa Barbara

Later Meguiar's used one of the above for this label although the toned the outrageous swirls down a few ticks and took off the BMW badge.
