As it has come to everyone's attention, hackers are up to no good targeting forums lately.
With that being said, we have noticed if inside a thread or post you happen to use pictures
or a smilie from a site that’s been flagged for problems the thread on our site will probably
have “beware warning” . If anyone gets any warning or sees anything on our forum that
does not belong or was "borrowed" from another site please let me know.

At Autogeek we do not tolerate any spam, harmful softwares, or any intrusions into our
members having a pleasant experience on our forum. Thank you all for helping us keep
AutogeekOnline a clean, educational, and fun forum.

Thank you and if you have any questions or concerns please contact me.

These hackers are idiots and need to get a life or a hobby...like detailing.

Lucky for you guys at Autogeek your hosting company also provides excellent support and server security services if you do run into any problems. I can vouch for the guys in their support department because I used to work for them myself! :)

Let's hope the hackers don't bring down these forums.

Seems like they got to Autopia.org. The site is flagged and it says not to go on it. What a shame.

Well said Meghan. Glad to see AG is on top of things :)

No problem Meghan.

We're all here to learn, teach, share, and most of all to enjoy a common passion; detailing to perfection.

Any photos I post come strictly in the form of links from Photo-Bucket where I upload the actual photo.

Can ":spam4:"!

i was just telling my wife about these hacker guys. and autopias issue i heard about. hackers need to get a life for sure . and have nothing better to do then try to ruin peoples computers. i just dont get it . im glad a/g is on top of this though.. there will always be hackers we just need to stay one step ahead of them ..

Thank you all for your support.

Actually, the virus/malware that Autopia has been spewing attempts to extort a significant amount of money from you to cure it (of course you are just paying to have the virus turned off temporarily, although they tell you that you are buying antivirus software). So there is a monetary aspect to this for the hackers rather than just "trying to ruin people's computers". Not that that makes it any better.

This is were FireFox does it's magic it picks up all type of malware before the damage is done. It's hard enough dealing with detailing Hacks now forum Hackers also.

Thanks for the heads up Meghan!

You know what the sad part is. If these hackers do a "good" enough job hacking they can end up with a high paying job in the gov instead of being punished!

"Mr. Anderson, It's time to make a choice" LOL

Seriously though, I saw it on dateline or something a couple years ago.

Yeah i remember that one Corey, the hacker who was able to break into a well-secured database and place a virus was hired by the US gov't to design and improve the existing database's security and protection to prevent it from happening again. :)
