That’s a good deal for some 12 gauge cords. Interesting 30’ length.^

I was on ebay looking at centercaps for Cadillac wheels with the thought of maybe buying a spare or 2 if I found a good deal.

While browsing I happened to stumble on centercaps for the Appliance Wire Wheels that originally came on my 1st Cadillac and was blown away at the cost of just the centercaps for the wheels.

That’s wild. Makes me wish even more to still have my 1st car.lol.

Enough nostalgia. I ended up finding a killer deal on that spare centercap to fit my new wheels just in case I lose 1 in the future.
I only paid $3.75! El Cheapo deal!

Much better than full price. A set of 4 brand new retails for $139.00 dollars. Crazy savings.lol.

I have spare wire wheel covers I keep in my truck that I accumulated in search for one in mint condition. I ought to look to get spare center caps like you though.

Bill D, you sir are a gem of a friend. You know who you remind me of? Wilson, the voice of wisdom.

Remember him? Tim Taylor’s trusted friend on “Home Improvement” who he could always count on for his reliable wealth of knowledge.

I just thought of that and I think it’s true. You’re similar in many ways to Wilson, that voice on the other side of the fence. Cheers.

Heh heh, thanks! I do recall Wilson fondly! Think of me as a Cadillac owning WIlson!

I'll have to brief this thread to see what you guys like Ali so much....

I have used for less than a handful of items - I go there for my USB C cables, active Thunderbolt cables, maybe some pre made fiber optic cables and one time I bought some factory speaker covers that was almost like the OE.....

In the realm of auto detailing, I've never looked but after buying this 1 particular item (to be discussed below), I am now getting ad feeds for what looks like brushes that look VERY similar to the Detail factory and what not.

I bought a pressure washer hood protector - It looks very similar to the one's I've been using for 10+ years.
The threading is sligthly off. It took me 3 attempts, but on the 3rd attempt, I put tape 2 wraps, put some pipe dope, and then sandwiched it again with another 3 wraps of tape.
Finally.....it's not leaking
Generally on said PW items, 2 wraps of tape and I'm generally fine....
Let's move on the the rubber portion of the nozzle protector....my current ones have seen years of use, abuse and what not....
The ALI ones, right upon the 1st time using it, the rubber of it was already lifting...

With that said, let's see how the next Ali order pans out....I ordered a set of $100 floating wheel caps. They are like OE, but the OE doesn't happen to make it in this particular LOGO....

Picks of the caps when there in?

It's nothing special....there is a shop that does high quality work out here stateside. They will use the OE floating cap, then also buy/remove the OE logo that doesn't exist on this floating center cap. Then install it onto the OE floating cap....runs $580 if I recall before shipping.

The ALI knockoff, I am hoping for 3 things

- logo looks fine from 15 feet away
- the floating mechanism works and works consistently
- The biggest ask is FIT and hopefully it stays on. (I've done the knockoff caps routine in the past and I've had 2 that has just gone missing while driving)
Maybe I have too much of a high hope for this wheel cap....as the knockoff pressure washer hood was surely not like the OE version in fit and finish

Walmart near me has rollback prices on various detailing chemicals. Check your local stores.

Here are just a few that I picked up. I had to restrain myself from buying other sale items because I really don't need them but the prices were tempting. lol

  • Turtle Wax Slick Shine QD Waterless Wash - $6.50 (this is good stuff, smells fantastic, decent slickness, nice gloss)
  • Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Detailer - $9.50 (awesome product, fan fav)

ross and burlington have some voodoo ride products, saw this for $3.99. wheel cleaner with iron remover...
