Inexpensive carpet / seat shampooer

you need extraction power. Get a big Wet Dry vac.
Spray with an APC, brush then vacc. Spray with water to remove APC, done.
I do this all the time when my customer wont pay for my extraction machine.
That little tiny Bessel is junk compared to a 6 amp Wet Dry Vac, and you probably already own a WDV.

So they don't pay for extraction, yet you still do it but twice as much work that makes zero sense.

vacuum efficiency is measured two ways. Inches of lift and air flow measure in CFM and are both important. Lift measures how hard the vacuum can pull and air flow measures how much water dirt and air will be removed through the hose to the waste tank. Not amps

A shop vac that you turn to wet vac, a solution of laundry detergent and oxy clean and some elbow grease always works for me. Looks awesome for any car I have ever done. Makes them look brand new

I'll explain it further. When your vaccuming and you come across a stain/dirty area you spray some APC/water. I'm not doing the whole car just the dirty areas. I don't do full extraction with my vac. I'm just telling the OP that you can use a wet/dry vacc.
My extraction starts at $120. I don't break it out unless I get paid too, some people can't afford that but I still need to clean up spots and doe a good job. So my vacc does a great job of extracting APC, water and dirt out.
I hope that clears it up.

little update
I use to have one of these .autocare pro heat . sold it and picked up a different Bissel .

I used the spot clean pro today -family member , and I'll say it's an upgrade from the Proheat . the spray nozzle is the same . it's not heated (proheat doesnt heat it that much anyways , but I have very hot water at home . better hose and most importantly has more suction and bigger tanks . for the little I use it -personal usage it's fine and dandy and not $500+ , if u shop around both of these bissels can be found for $-100 . don't get me wrong this is not an pro extractor , carpet and upholstery will be damp and wet still. it still pulls out plenty of gunk . if I had to do repeatingly nasty interiors I would get a real extractor though . just my thoughts .

I spray the carpets down with cg fabric clean, hit it with a steamer and scrub it with a horse hair brush to get it to foam up and then extract it with a bissell little green.
