Here is my first detail ever - use to paying other folks and after receiving the PC 7424, various products, and the info on this site, I enjoyed the 6 hours of effort and watching the transformation of my car...

Still a couple of small scratches on there - first time fears of too much pressure. Might order XMT3 soon though.

process:
wash w/ blue ivory
XMT2 with orange
Klasse AIO
Klasse Sealer x 2
Liquid Souveran x 2

Hope it measures up to all you pros out there...

He he, welcome to the addiction.

Looks like you got some skills, the car looks great.

6 hours aint bad either..

Oh man very nice. You didn't have to follow the orange pad/xmt2 combo with a polish?

Sweet! Always wanted to ask FX owner, how do you like driving your FX? Is it fast? Drives like a car? Stability? Power?

TIA.

Very nice, that is one sweet looking vehicle. The relfection shots are nice, the color is nice and wet. Don't you feel closer to your vehicle now hahahaha after man handeling it hahaha.

Thanks for sharing and look forward to seeing more posts from you.

Thanks everyone for the comments. It was a lot of fun and yes, I am closer to my car now :) I have a new respect for you pros who do multiple cars in a day. Almost felt like the old days of "2 a days" on the field...

Regarding, polish after XMT2. I thought the Klasse AIO would take care of that. Is that not true? Also, the dust was something new to me as well.

The FX drives like a sport sedan and is very fast for what it is. I love driving it and really enjoy the cornering capabilities. Feels like you are on rails. It is not a plush ride like some other premium SUV's but I did not buy it for that. I wanted a combo of a sports sedan and SUV. Also, the technlogy in the 2006 is very cool. All in all, I feel good about the purchase. And, really good at how I can make it look now....

Thanks!!

That's what I thought. Thanks.

Great pics, awesome job! My friend has a white one and I'll probably end up detailing it, but its in much worse shape than yours. One question, with all the curves on the car, was it hard using the orange pad? Seems like alot of curves with a stiff pad.

Yea, it was kind of a pain but I did the real tough spots by hand. I wasn't going to sweat a little imperfection and would rather live with it than make it much worse. The paint is in very good condition. Although, there are a couple of scratches on the hood. Very small but large enough to bother me. I think I'll order some XM3 and XM1 to go with my XM2. Hopefully, with all of this stuff, I can get it out. If not, I will be asking you pros... :)

There is white one in my neighborhood. Looks good but happy I went with black. The FX is deceiving - as there is a lot of area to cover. The hood alone is very large and the doors are not small either.

What is the best product to use for leather - to clean and condition?
