I have some ink on brand new tan leather. I searched and found a post about Leather Master Ink Away. I was wondering if anyone has used this product?.

Works better the quicker you use it to attack the ink stain. Did a decent job on my wife's car that has tan leather.

I read between 3-5 days. This happened this morning. Thanks for the response I'll see if anyone local carries it. If not I guess I bite the bullet and pay next day

Plus one leather master ink remover kit though have you tried to do any cleaning yet sometime apc with a brush or leather conditioner can help when fresh

Yes I tried the Chemical Guys leather cleaner I have here. I took out dye transfer with that...didn't touch ink. I actually found a local furniture store that carries Leather Master products. Hopefully they carry the ink stick. If not I'll have it send over night. Thank you.

Try some IPA, but I'm not sure how safe it is for leather. According to Google it is, but I'd try it at a low dilution and in an inconspicuous spot first. Then condition.

Actually hair spray is supposed to work also. Since I can pick up the Leather Masters ink stick locally (hopefully) I'll try that first. Thank you

I use Leather Master exclusively for dye transfer. It has yet to disappoint. I've also used it on ball point ink drawing on headliner :)

I have an example to share on jeans dye transfer in a Porsche Panamera. I just haven't finished going through all the pics. May have something tomorrow

Thanks. My Chemical Guys leather cleaner removed dye transfer for me. Leather Master shows that ink removal stick. It shows you need to use it in the first 3-5 days. I've heard nothing but good about Leather Master. Just hope this local company has the ink removal stick. Thank you

Why would you suggest a remedy without knowing if it was safe?

Have you used IPA to remove ink?

All the time, but I've never encountered ink on leather. I made it clear that the general consensus on the Internet is that it's safe and I told him to proceed with caution. What's wrong with suggesting a remedy with warning?
