Inside Griot's Garage

Have you ever tried just plain old "Speed shine"?

I haven’t tried it. I have seen it but doing some more reading on it now. Would you say that or the ceramic version would be more of a “shine”?

Not to worried about protection. Truck is garage kept and cleaned weekly but just like it to be shiny and bright.

Sounds like you have tried all the same ones I have and more. But I am curious… why limit yourself to only Griot’s products?

Only because of what's in this thread. That said I know what your saying but I'd give Ceramic Speed Shine a go but ofcoarse that paint has gotta look its very best to start with

I like their line of waxes and polishes and think they are economical and also quality product.

I wanted to keep a drying aid product from the same manufacture to not have any issues between the two

Do you think the ceramic speed shine provides more of a shine than the original or just more protection?

I have a gallon of it, I'd send ya some but as cheap as it is I would just buy it local

Keep in mind it has no waxes or sealants...you might not be any further ahead then what you had been using

Appreciate it!

Hard to beat Amazon for $14.99 for 32oz…..

No worries honestly I know I am just chasing my tail at this point but part of the obsession.

Do you have a really good polished base?

Do you have a really good polished base?

Oh yeah the paint is like new. I got the truck new in May 2020 started off with Collinite but didn’t like how dusty it would get and then went down a rabbit hole and moved to Griots products after stripping it and reapplying Griots 3-1 liquid wax with my cheap dual action.

I have by hand waxed it about every 2/3 months.

I am getting ready to iron decon and strip wash the wax and start over again.

I was going to do the BOSS finishing sealant first to take care of a few light scratches then top it with the liquid wax 3-1 or the Best of Show liquid wax.

I did just buy a G9 polisher and some pads I am going to be excited to use here shortly as well.

Pic is of my truck after two days of daily driving after a regular cleaning

With the white paint you might be chasing a dream that isn't there.
My last truck was white and I was never happy with shine...

Might be tough to see much of a difference between speed shine and ceramic speed shine on a white truck.

That’s what I have heard! I think that shine looks nice though

I would say the Ceramic Speed Shine has noticeably more pop than the original. I've never played with the original in terms of watching how long it's "protection" (read: water behavior) lasts.

The original speed shine is great to have around as a clay lube if nothing else. Well, that and it smells awesome. :D

I've ended up with so many other things in the arsenal it's been a while since I've reached for the original. I'll have to break it out and find a use for it again.

I also use SS in and around the house....hard surfaces...sinks...ETC and yes it smells great

I might be a real nerd or fan boy…. But I can’t wait for my Griots shirt to arrive on my next order so I can be a true nerd/fan boy.

Hoping it arrives before getting to go to Mecum this weekend.

I always have SS behind the seat of the Ram for the times when birds target it.

It works great for this, and never streaks. :props:

CSS is a nice product. I really liked it. Great drying aid for 3 in 1.

I feel both are similar and great products. I’d choose the ceramic if yourLSP has ceramic otherwise i’d use regular.

Pardon my ignorance but what is the acronym LSP mean?
