i see it was released tuesday. touted best movie since the exorcist? guess i'll have to rent it and see. i loved "the exorcism of emily rose" based on a true story.
 
I saw the first Exorcist with Linda Blair when it first hit the theaters back in 1973 and nearly craped my pants.....:eek:.....:laughing:

Pretty extreme for its time.... :eek:
 
I'm kind of interested in how it compares to The Grudge (first one, the Sarah MG remake of the Japanese one). The violent bloody horror movies don't get to me at all. It's the suspense/thriller ones that get me and The Grudge did just that (I also saw the Japanese one after and still thought the American remake was better). I've still never seen it again since the theater, and I remember the couple in front of us ended up leaving halfway through. Insidious looks like it might have a similar potential.
 
grabbed it today. i'll watch it tomorrow morning. hope its a good one.
 
I watched Insidious last night. Ok, here is how it ends...hold on, the phone is ringing, brb.
 
Rose Byrne and Patrick Wilson.. can't be too bad. Watched a trailer on imdb.com Might rent it someday.
 
wow! finally a good one. really twisted ending. 9/10
 
Going to watch it tonight now. Was on the fence. I love horror films, but lately they have all been crap. its been more about blood and gross out factor and not being scary.
 
The Strangers was one of the very few films that actually scared me.

That movie was great! it caused actual fear. Stephen king said it was a terrifying movie. I liked how the characters actual did what you would do in their situation. Great call malumians!

Not in the league with the exorcist but definitely much better than any movie in this genre I've seen in a good while.
