Inspection Light?

Hi,

My hand held halogen works very well showing and swirls or lines by aiming it at different angles; however, it's very hot and I have to drag around the extension chord which can be a pain.

What would be ideal is if ther're any hand held cordless lights availble that will do a good job picking up these imperfections thus much easier to use?

Preferably something available in stores or at Home Depot.

When searching this subject the Brinkman Dual Xenon seems to be a favorite; however, it appears it's not available ?? Home depot carries a number of cordless LED lights but not sure which works similar to the Brinkman?

I switched from the Brinkman to the Husky 800 lumen led from Home Depot

I already have the extension cord out for the polishers, so I just leave the light on and set it below the panel I am working. Shine it upward. I pick it up and inspect the panel closely after a section has been compounded. Great for spotting RIDS and seeing DA haze clearly

I've used the Brinkmann and hated it. I now use the Flex light and LOVE it!!!! The best thing about it is that it uses batteries (over being rechargable), it is adjustable (from focus to wide pattern). I could not be happier

Thank you all for your valued help.

I was in a hurry, so I wound up purchasing a light very similar to the Flex light that Dr Pain illustrated which I got at Home Depot for $39.00.

It's a Coast HP-7 which has a sliding focus from 58 to 251 lumens which can be set to anywhere in between by simply sliding the head in or out.

Works great finding any swirl or imperfection and certainly 1000 times better than dragging my very hot halogen single light and extension chord.

I just picked up an 800 lumens rechargeable LED light at O'reily's. It's like a small shop work light. It's a great size and comes with a small stand. $60, Amazon sells them for over $100.
