Thanks for looking!

There is a perfect example of why I say "No Thank you" when offered a free carwash when I'm in for service. I also have them write it on the service order just to be sure there is no misunderstanding.

This car looked like they used a wool pad with NO compound or polish. It was really bad all over.

Great job.

Mind telling me what "OB" is? I can't seem to nail that one down.

How is the work time on the OHC/OC/OP products? I hear it's pretty long.. some folks seem to be down on that.

OB is Optimum's OptiBond Tire Dressing. It's a gel that I dilute and shoot through a Wagner Control Spray HVLP sprayer.

I know alot of people don't like the Optimum Polishes, but I like em quite a bit. The way I'd describe the work time is that it doesn't go clear like others and it doesn't dust at all. I think some don't take time to learn how to work it because it is different than most stuff. My favorite thing about it is that you can move from one to the other without cleaning off the residue. On this car even thought I did 4 products, it only tooke me about 6-7 minutes per panel. OHC with a Yellow pad, then without even wiping OC with a orange pad, then without even wiping OP with a white pad, then PS on a gray pad. I think the problem most people have is not taking the time to find which one gives you the aggression you need. Like maybe they have in their mind what they think a polish "should" do and they should actually be using a compound. Just my thoughts....

Thanks for that. On the tire dressing I don't see that on their page? Just the Optimum Tire Shine. Is that the same one?

Just curious. Trying to learn what's sprouted up since I perused the forums.

Thanks integritydetail. That was some informative info that I'll adopt. +1 here for Optimum polishes.

Great job! You really cleaned that Volvo up. I personally am not a big fan of Volvos, I don't like their cockpit...that stereo, and all the AC controls just look plain ugly...maybe it's just me...

Nope, you're not alone. They don't make one single model that I like, either. I'll clean 'em
though, LOL!

Man I'm guilty of that when using my Uncle's Rotary with wool pad... Now I know why it happened haha... Just lurking and reading has given me a great deal of knowledge.

Very nice detail.

great turn around.. I like how the metalic came out...

Thank you both for the comments! The owner was very impressed, he didn't realize how it was "supposed' to look, LOL

Nice job fixing that paint! Thanks for the overview of the OP/OC. I have got some OC and OP that I have yet to use. I would have normally cleaned off the residue after each product but I guess that is not necessarily required if you know what the result is going to be.
