Interesting Pets?

I have always wanted a Monkey till I visited a friends house that had one and he started throwing his poop around! Now I think my little dog is all I need.

Meghan ...

I like your new avatar picture - looks like both of you were having fun that day!

Buddy

I had two chinchillas for a long time but have always been a fan of reptiles and I bred panther chameleons for a while and currently have a yellow uromastyx, crested gecko and breed 17 ball python morphs. I also keep fish (Rainbows and African cichlids).

Photo of my favorite panther chameleon I had.

Here is a photo I took my favorite ball morph that I have, a Piebald:

Also really like my "bumblebee" morph:

My real nice looking crested gecko (favorite gecko as they don't need to eat insects and don't like temps above 80°):

My uromastyx 'Earl' (just eats veggies and certain flower blooms),

Cats.
Never really intended to become a cat person. But about 15 years ago I found a dead litter of kittens under a bush in my backyard.
So the next time I saw the feral momma cat getting fatter I kept a real close eye on her. After the kittens were born I caught all the kittens that had survived and kept handling and feeding them until they were just like housecats. And I trapped momma and got her fixed. She is still living in my backyard today. All her kittens are still with me as housecats (two sisters). All told I have trapped 17 feral cats in my backyard and have gotten them all fixed. Over the years all but three have died off or just gone missing. They get fed twice a day. Today I have four remaining cats as housecats. All fixed, of course. And the two mamma cats and one huge male that showed up a few months ago.
After all these years of catch, fix, and release we no longer have a feral cat pack roaming the neighborhood. And the songbirds have returned.

I thought this thread was about interesting pets, not post pictures of your pet no matter what it is.

To those that posted their very strange pets, thanks. It's been fun seeing what some people have at their house, even if it makes my skin crawl!!

My mom has 2 love birds, they are very interesting to watch sometimes. They are very smart birds, one of them keeps getting out of the cage so we had to tape it up.

I had a sugerglider for a few years. Her name was Roxy. She was awesome!

I carried her around in my shirt pocket everywhere. The only problem was she would poop and pee on my shoulder and in my pocket lol! But she was my buddy so it didn't matter.

Had to give her to a buddy when I went to school and he ended up losing her.....:(

That was a sad day......

RtexasF and Pantercz you guys really do have some "interesting" pets. Meghan, i'm a big fan of your avatar pic but only because your nephew is rockin a patriots sweatshirt! Jets are going down today!!!

My customer today at 1 said that if the detail runs late I can watch the game with him and his family. 1st time customer too, I've never met him. I love Boston.

Go Pats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: I have one hell of a good wife...:xyxthumbs:

Mrs. Old Tiger has a Ball Python. It is almost full grown now. She feeds it a frozen rat , after warming it up. It lives in a very nice ENCLOSED terrarium. I am not a snake person. We also have 2 Parrotlets, four dogs and a cat that thinks it is a dog.
