Interior Detail Process/Products Used

I am a newb when it comes to detailing cars. I have a really good idea on what do do and use/do on the outside but what about the inside? What is your process for detailing the interior? What products do you use?

I use 303 aerospace protectant for dash and vinyl areas once a month.
I use APC every other month on all surfaces to remove old layers, just in case. Also APC for door jambs.

On my leather-seat car, I use Leather Master products (cleaner and protection). Love it.

On my fabric-seat van, just regular weekly vacuuming. But I'm thinking of getting me a Shop-Vac wet/dry vaccuum, after I rented a RugDoctor.

Been using store-bought APC, seems to do the trick. But I've got an order on AG for Optimum Power Clean, we'll see how that goes.
 
Woolite mixed with distilled water makes a good interior cleaner for leather, vinyl, and plastic. I like to follow it up with another interior spray to rid any soapy residue. I usually only woolite dirtier interiors. Otherwise I also like the OTC Meguire's quik interior detailer and I follow that up with 303. shop vac, some carpet foam shampoo, couple brushes, leather conditioner if needed and you're set.
 
Interior for me
303 cleaner for the mats, with hot water
303 Protectant fot the vinyl and the mats, if they are rubber
Lexol for the leather seats
AM 777 for an APC
Odorzyme for a disintectant and to put a nice smell in the car
Various other products for stains
Sprayway or IG for the windows
AM carpet and Spot Remover for the extractor
 
Meguiars APC for vinyl/plastics/leather cleaning
Meguiars APC+ for carpet spotting
303 Aerospace for dressing
Meguiars Gold Class or Lexol for Leather conditioning.
Ultimate quick interior detailer for the dash gauges/electronics.
maybe a few other items...
 
I used some APC+ today for interior panels etc does a excellent job.


How much do you need to diluted it to do leather?
 
I use the Pinnacle vinyl/leather cleaner and follow up with the leather conditioner and vinyl protectant. Probably not the least expensive solution but I have no complaints whatsoever with the products. Nice and clean look/feel. I especially love the leather conditioner.
 
I have some leatherique pristine clean probably will try to squeeze the last few drops out of her
 
My interior detail:
Pinnacle vinal/leather cleaner
MEG Leather conditioner
Klasse vinal/leather cleaner/protectant
Lastly, Einszett lemon cockpit (this stuff is great)
 
carpet --- Folex or Wolfgang Spot Remover
leather --- Einszett or Pinnacle
dash --- Poorboys Natural Look
glass --- Stoners Invisible Glass, Glass MF, Glass Wizzard
wood/carbon inserts --- quick detailer
door scuff guards -- APC and Mr Clean Eraser
rubber surrounds -- Einszett Rubber Stick
 
This brings up a question... Should 303 protectant be applied over anything? I always assumed it should only be applied over a freshly cleaned surface. It sounds like you apply OTC Meguire's Quick Detailer then follow it up with an application of 303. I'm not challenging... just trying to learn. Thanks.

non caustic APC, various brushes, Magic erasers, spot treatment, Shop vac, Carpet extractor and a blow gun
 
To clean plastic, vinyl , leather , I use woolite and water 8 to 1. For cloth seats and carpets I use ammonia and water 1part ammonia to 5 parts water in a bucket. Dunk a towel in the solution , wring out, wipe down seats and carpets , follow with a dry towel . You would be amazed on how much dirt comes out of the fabric. No rinseing needed, no wet vac needed , just 2 towels and a bucket of solution. You may have to change the solution often if the fabric is very dirty.
 
Never tried ammonia on a carpet yet, will try it on my g/f car :o :cheers:

I have been using megs quik interior detailer followed by 303 for a long time. I have switched to using optimum tire shine now for the interior surfaces instead of 303 because it doesn't fog up windows or give me headaches. The bottle says it is safe for all interior and exterior plastic and rubber surfaces and includes uv protection. It has slightly more gloss than 303 but it doesn't look greasy at all and it is much cheaper in the long run.

I have not tried amonia on the seats, but it sounds like a good idea. I usually just use the shop vac followed with a few sprays of megs odor eliminator. If there are any visible spots I use a can of otc foaming cleaner and brush. Twice a year I use the 303 fabric guard on cloth, and lexol cleaner and conditioner on leather (i'm hoping to get some wolfgangs when this stuff runs out).

I was wondering if anyone has any recipes for a quick interior detailer. I heard you can use onr, but at what ratio? and would it be safe to use on stereo head units and lcd screens?
 
Meguiars APC 10:1 and a steam cleaner
I have some protectant left over from rightlook that I use for now
