Just a quick question..for those of you who get paid...on your interior detail package do you detail under the truck where the spare tire/tools are? I was just curious what others do. I currently don't but never gave it much though. Thanks for the feedback.

Yes and No. Usually if a car has the spare tire compartment inside I remove the cover and vacuum all the edges and any big particles around the tire. I don't actually take the spare tire out and clean everything out. For the most part those compartment are pretty clean so a quick vacuum is all that's ever needed.

For my interior detailing package yes I will do a quick vaccum in the spare tire compartment but that's it unless the customer wants the spare tire/compartment clean specifically or if I find water in that area then I'll notify them about it, and tell them it could give a stale smell

99% of the time, yes. Most of the time all it needs is a quick spritz of apc, scrub, vacuum then wipe everything down to remove any moisture.

Thanks guys..just curious what everyone else does.

Depends on what they are paying for. For a full interior detail, yes. For a basic vacuum and wipe down, no.

One word of caution here...many high end cars have sensors in that area that monitor the pressure of the spare tire.
