Interior Detailing - Show me what's best and what to buy....

I mentioned it a few times, but you know how it is - AG is huge and moves fast; blink an eye and your post simply gets wash away... hah

And I'm going to throw this one out there - Scholl Concepts Ice Glass Cleaning Gel. Probably THE best glass cleaner I've sampled. Stuff is pricey though. Was hoping AG carries it when the line was here. Oh well.

I also just use ONR. Leaves a matte finish, to answer your other question. I once mistakenly used ONR + wax, that actually worked fine also, left a glossier finish, but not super shiny.

Does ONR actually leave behind UV protection?

Does ONR actually leave behind UV protection?

I don't think it does. But most windshields have the equivalent of SPF 50 (98% uv protection), so I don't worry about it. I prep ONR for my exterior wash, it's just convenient to dip a couple microfibers in the solution and wipe down the interior. I compared it side-by-side w/ Meg's Quick Interior Detailer and 303 Multi-Surface, absolutely no difference in appearance.

McKee's Hi Intensity APC@4:1. Lately I've been using this in place of Megs APC because this product doesn't require rinsing and therefore keeps the carpet cleaner, longer after I've cleaned it. Same process. Just make sure to use it @4:1 because it's not quite up to snuff @10:1.

Am going to try McKee's based on your input. May prove useful in a number of areas. Thanks man!

A steamer...even the low cost ones are more than enough needed for auto interior.

- Wet/dry shop vac.
- Steam cleaner.
1. McCulloch 1385.
2. Vapamore MR100

Should be getting my 1385 tomorrow! Our van is pretty darn clean but I know in the very back where the third row folds down it could probably benefit from some testing of it when it arrives :)

Dedicated interior microfiber towels and dedicated glass microfiber towels.

I have a pretty good supply of cheaper MF towels that I will dedicate to interiors. Will also be picking up some white terry towels too.

I have a pretty good supply of 303 and other treatments including my leather stuff but I tend to reserve the Griots Garage and Optimum Leather for my car (I'm a stingy snob like that)

I have a nice Ozone machine already too.

Ultima Interior Shampoo Gel.
Bought a small bottle to try. Love it. Picked up a gallon. Foams up nicely & wipes away clean. Doesn't require much to get the job done and no tacky feel like with certain apc.

Added some to my cart tonight. Thank you!

I'd like to X2 on the Folex. Not complicated, not expensive, and it Just Works!

Same, added this to my cart as I found it for a great price. So now I have 3 quality cleaners to try out and evaluate. The McKee's is pretty well rounded so I can definitely use that in many areas.

My first full interior detail is coming up. Fairly clean F250 with some coffee stains inside. Waiting on customer/friend to confirm. I'm looking to secure a full exterior and interior on this one but he's a little hesitant I think on price.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

I do appreciate the support and feedback.

@pdqgp. What are your thoughts on the Mckee's APC now that you've had it for a while?

I actually really like it. I've used a full gallon of it thus far and just opened the 2nd one. I find myself using inside the house as well. Very concentrated and doesn't require much to mix up an effective cleaner. I used it along with Steam to clean a lot of the interior of this VW Van. Sorry for the lack of before shots, but let's just say, it was a repo car and treated like one. I used it mainly on the hard surfaces in a fine mist as a pre-treatment to hitting it with steam.

Tried Blackfire Interior Cleaner, but not a fan. I don't like the way it feels after wiping down the steering wheel. For that I actually prefer D114 @ 1:128, Inner Clean, or even UWW+ (rinseless solution).

Have you tried and compared mckee37 fast interior detailer with ultima by chance...about gone on my McKee and curious

Am I the only one who likes Megs Quik Interior Detailer? Cleans and protects in one. For more soiled areas a apc is needed.
