Interior I feel like crying

I have a buddy who is a flight engineer in the military, me on the other hand I lift weights for a living though I hope women dig me for things not related to my job lol

hahaha I been flying since I was 20! Must be flying a old model aircraft.

To be honest not everyone keeps a car clean. Here is a shot of my daily driver. It has been 6 months since the interior has been cleaned and it is long overdue. Winters up north are hard on an interior carpet. Here is the result of just going through the winter. Last weekend I did the exterior doing a two stage polish. This is the filthiest part of the car a filthy mat which will be easy to correct. As much as I hate a filthy ride the end result is this. Sitting in the car everything looks good. Just don’t look at the mat on the driver’s side.
Here is the carpet mat

You on the other hand should apply Rhino Lining or Line-X to the interior of your Mom's car, so you can power wash it in the future.

AZTEC 1987,

For some reason, not sure why...you and Crono are scaring me

So I decided to do a easy clean up today since I had some time under this 80 degree weather....I was not able to get the stuff between the space of the center console and the side, I used CG All Clean + and then sprayed some CG G6 Hyper Coat in order to get the gloss in the interior, I do plan on getting an extractor to clean the floor mats and seats. I did vacuum but turned out that these knuckle heads of my siblings lost some tools my vacuum.

For now lets assuming Explosives or Napalm are off the table......

  • Place each piece of trash in a plastic bag
  • Vacuum up everything you can
  • Use compressed air for those "How do I get in there areas"
  • Hot Water Extractor
  • Steamer

Products

  • Solution of Dawn and hot water
  • Folex
  • All Purpose Cleaner
  • Several terrycloth towels, no microfiber towels here..

No one ever said detailing interiors was fun....it's a lot of work takes even more patience.

How did I miss this thread....8 pages in a few days.

wow. Entertaining to say the least. You show us your mom's car interior.
...then go on to say you pick dates up in this car...LOL! That was hilarious.

In for final pictures/end result.

Ironclad law of nature:
Women = Messy car, spotless house.
Men = Spotless car, messy house.

^^THIS. I worked at AutoBell once a upon a time and a lot of women kept their cars filthy. The ones that did keep their cars clean were spotless tho.

Your Mom does not care about that interior, and even if you get that thing showroom ready, it'll get like that again in a couple of months. I would do a "reasonably good" job cleaning it, but not take it to the level of removing the seats to get it perfect. Who knows, maybe if you get it looking nice, she'll take better care of it. Post some before and afters, good luck.

Seriously Aztec.... Your best attack will be a combination of commercial cleaners, detailing brushes, compressed air, Tornador black and a steamer and when you are done.....

The Weathertech are a wonderful suggestion but behavioral retraining is going to be your only permanent solution

P.S. If you get this thing in any descent shape and don't lose your mind in the process you will be known the world around as the "go-to" guy for interior! Great way to start a detailing business. Take lots of pics!

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. Barring having a compressor and long tube blower, you can wrap a MF towel around the end of a chop stick and reach it to most of that. If not, a flexible wand will help.
