Hello all,

I have been amaturely detailing my, and others cars for many years now, and have been specifically using the Meguiar's Ultimate Line for a couple years. And have been truly inspired and motivated to detail because of this line.

My post today has specifically to do with interior protectant. From my experience graduating from the early days of armour all, and turtle wax stuff, then better quality, then eventually experiencing the awesome megs lines. And this is all from personal detaling evolution without the feedback and experience of others with interior vinyl protectants.

I was just asking what many of you feel is YOUR personal best pick for an interior vinyl protectant. And maybe why?(optional)

And I ask this because I've noticed that the Megs Ultimate protectant is a little too shiny and oily looking. I don't know if it contains any silicones or anything like that in it.

And just wondering if anyone knew of any reccomendable products with a more matte finish that still provide great protection from the sun and stains.

Thankyou,

Greywolf17

I like Megs Hyper Dressing a lot.
Diluted 1:4, applied with foam pad, let dry, then wipe with microfibre if necessary.

On some panels it makes the black really dark without overly shiny like Megs UP does.

The best interior protectant that isn't too shiny but almost a satin sheen, and leaves the material feeling silky smooth, I would recommend 'Ultima Interior Guard Plus' ... so far I have ultimate protectant, cg vrp, meg hyper dress, all season, waterbase, and a couple of others but always go back to Ultima Interior Guard because I found it to look the best, feel the best, and last a good while too. It is a bit pricey but you honestly don't use too much so that one bottle will last you a while.

my fav right now is Wolfgang cockpit trim sealant followed closely by ultima interior guard . water based I like carpro perl, Meg's 40 , and dp

Chemical Guys Inner Clean, No Nonsense are good. They have one called Green Clean. That is the one I prefer because of the dillution ratio is sick. A 16 ounce bottle lasts forever.

Thanks for the replies. very beneficial information!

I didn't write on my first post. But also encourage anyones thoughts on Megs Ultimate Protectant. Especially if alot of people love it or not. I have always felt it was great, but don't know what others thought about it?

Not a fan of Meg's UP on interiors, too shiny for my taste. If you want something OTC and in the Meg's family, Meg's natural shine is a good product. My favorite though would be Ultima Interior Guard Plus.

Meguiar´s # 40

Before you apply it, make sure you give a nice pass to the dashboard or door panels, either with Apc, or even better steam & apc. this will clean really nice before any protectant.

you will see a big difference, This is the way We do it. First steam & Apc, then apply the Meg´s

My favorite would be Meguiars #40 But I also like the Meguiars Natural Shine, and it's cheaper.

I thought that UP was to shiny for interiors.
