You guys really need to recalculate your international shipping charges.....a hundred dollars on a 120 usd worth of products?...come on guys..you could do better than that :(

I have bought from other online stores in the US like BN,Amazon, ebay etc. ....most of them charge less....a lot less than you....(hardcover books are heavier and bulkier than DA pads and liquid waxes I guess)

Sorry if I am venting here....but I really like the products being sold in autogeek but often let down after you emailed me the shipping charges gonna be..:(

I am sure that if you called them to see exactly "why" they charge what they charge, you may be surprised as to the legalities and costs associated with shipping items through customs. Not all products crossing the international borders are seen to be the same (as per Customs and shipper). Paper goods unlike liquids unlike etc.... are seen different with regards to weight, size and therefore costs. I would be hard pressed to see that AG is using this as a "scheme" to make an extra buck on their international customer. They are the best company I have dealt with for any and all issues (big or small). They are truly the definition of what proper customer care should be about and do genuinely care about their customer base. They would be idiots not to take care of their international customers the same as there US based customers.

My best advise to you is CALL THEM! You may be enlightened on the real cost of doing international business. I can tell you that they have a SPECIAL department specifically for their international orders. Those guys know what they are doing.

BUT..........If you find out that they are padding the international shipping to "stick it to you", then please present the evidence (what they charge and what you were provided by FedEx or UPS)..... and I, along many other forum members, will be more than happy to tag on to your effort to make them change their policies and procedure. Forum members and fellow detailers are family!

P.S. I am originally from Canada and my parents (who still live there) do send me items (and same with me), and the non-commercial costs and customs/duty taxes do not equate the commercial costs.
