Intro and HEEEELLLPPPPP!!!

It almost looks like the previous detailer used a very aggressive pad and product and made some buffing swirls then skipped all the other steps lol.

Nice work on fixing someone else's screw up man! Very well done.

Dave do you have these backwards? Isn't the yellow pad a more cut pad than the orange pad?
I was scrolling down through this thread looking to see if anyone else caught that. LC pads yellow is extremely aggressive, Meguiars pads yellow is a polishing pad. Orange LC is where I would be on Subaru paint to repair the mess that this so called "Expert" caused. It's a crying shame how these hacks make the entire detailing industry look bad.

I concur with the recommendation on an orange pad; the yellow is too aggressive and I would combine that with Megs Ultimate Compound. The more I use Megs UC, the more I am impressed with the results it produces. Follow this up with a final polish and a white (if the UC leaves light swirls) or a black pad (less aggressive than white) for a great finish. My current choice is Chemical Guys P40-ProPolish+ and a black pad. AG carries CG V38, which would be roughly equivalent.

To the OP not sure where you are(location wise) but I would be glad to help you with correcting that mess.

I have everything you need.....machines,product,etc etc.

Thanks...Dad? I'm in Michigan. I appreciate the offer! Lot's of great help and advice on here.

The gentlemen who messed it up, offered to correct it. I think it was George W. Bush that said it so eloquently, "There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."

I'll be putting together the supplies to fix it myself!

Finally done!

I purchased the Meguiar's Microfiber kit and a found a PC7336 at a garage sale! I know it's not perfect as I neglected the paint for many years. Thank you to everyone that provided help along the way. This is a great forum and I look forward to my next detail...the wife's daily driver...2007 Dodge Grand Caravan....I think I need a Flex3401! hahaha! (I got the bug)
