Sorry, I misled you a bit. Its only a '92, you don't want pictures of that, do you?
Mick.
That's not old Mick!
My dad was always an "Olds Man". Had a F82 Cutlass convertible in the early 60's (
first one I remember, but he had others before then). Then we had the classic 71 Vista Cruiser (
black over vinyl wood grain) for a long time and then he bought the 75 Custom Cruiser (
blue over vinyl wood grain). Even kept the 71 for a couple years afterwards. Pulled travel trailers with both of them, and NEVER passed a gas station they didn't like!
Funny thing... I look at that 71 these days and see that as a 'sporty' looking vehicle.
I honestly wouldn't mind having one just like it now!:dblthumb2:
Looking below:
Took my (future) wife to prom in that spanking new 75 Custom Cruiser.
To say there was PLENTY OF ROOM to 'get into trouble' in that car is one of the biggest understatements of ALL TIME! It's a wonder we didn't end up with kids before we got out of high school cruising around in that puppy! (
Of course I had 2 cars of my own, (a Comet GT and a Javelin) my senior year, and my wife had a Camaro so I didn't really care for the big Olds.)
Now THIS one I'd never want to see again. Talk about a TANK!

Not to mention that 455 had about 190 horsepower and sucked gas like a continental pipeline. I remember after we were married in 77 we met my folks down at West Point lake in 78 and let them drive my car home while we stayed another week with their car and the 28' travel trailer. Coming home I had that puppy on the floor most of the way pulling the hills (and back down the other side) coming back into Atlanta. You could literally SEE the gas gauge moving! The ol' girl would run though... never gave them a lick of trouble.
