Prima Car Care is very proud to introduce their new Hydro Wash and Hydro Seal. These two new products, when used together, provide an easy to use two step system that preps and protects painted surfaces for months.

The first part of the protection process starts with the Hydro Wash. This unique formula shampoo contains no polymers and is designed to prep the paint for Hydro Seal. Hydro Wash produces a ton of suds and is very concentrated and is the ideal shampoo for routine up keep of the Hydro Seal.

Hydro Seal is a water activated polymer sealant that will protect and enhance the shine of painted surfaces for months, not weeks. Hydro Seal is also safe on exterior trim, it will not stain or discolor plastic or vinyl surfaces. The first thing you will notice about Hydro Seal is the unique application process, and the second thing you will notice, besides the superior shine and gloss that it provides, is the water beading wash after wash.

Application:

1. Start with 2 plush microfiber towels and a spray bottle of water.
2. Apply to a clean car, out of the direct sun.
3. Soak one plush microfiber towel with water then wring out excess water so towel is lightly damp. Fold it in fourths.
4. Spread a quarter-sized dollop on the wet towel.
5. Mist a section of paint with water.
6. Wipe Hydro Seal onto the paint until it begins to disappear. Any remaining Hydro Seal is immediately ready for removal.
7. Wipe any residue from the paint with your dry towel and continue to the next section.
8. Feel free to follow with original Hydro or add a layer of Hydro Seal.

Note that Prima Hydro Seal can be applied over Epic, Amigo or Hydro. The car should be wet-wiped after polishing (Finish, Swirl, Cut), prior to applying Hydro Seal.

I love Prima products and can't wait to try both. But, HydroSeal does seem like it might be a pain to apply considering how easy Banana Gloss and Epic are to use. I will still be picking some up though.

Not sure why:dunno:, but they're in my cart waiting for some free shipping.

Did you read the instructions? BG and Epic all I have to do is put on a pad and spread with my DA. This sounds like it needs to be applied with a damp rag (so no machine) and rubbed in then buffed off. All I'm saying is it may be more involved than their other products. But like I said I will get some too.

Looks like a great new product, I am dying to try out some Prima and this might give me a good reason too!

I have to say I am super-excited about Hydro Seal. It's easy to get geeky about your own products, by HS is so unique and effective that the giddiness is genuine.

About a month after my first application, the Chevy got bird bombed. I left the doo on for two weeks to see what would happen. When I went to clean it off, it literally flaked off without leaving a mark.

My current application has been on for about three months. Last weekend I took the rig to the spray wash to remove the grit. The SOAP was beading on the hood. This stuff beads like nothing I have ever seen.

The application process is quite different, so understandably, there will be a learning curve. It isn't difficult, just different. It takes me about the same amount of time to HS our Suburban as it does to wash it. For comparison, BG is quicker, but just marginally so.

So with HS, you generally get the application ease of BG with the durability of Prima Epic. The look is glossy and wet while leaning towards the richness of a carnauba.

Hi Nick! Thanks for the info!

Prima seems to be quite a kick around here, with good reason! :props:

As soon as i saw the add I ordered ( 4:30am ). I cannot express how great I feel prima products are . I just love using Amigo,Banana Gloss and Hydro. They are unique products not just because they work so well, they are just so easy to use. Nothing i have ever tried including WG Fusion and SNH make my red metallic pop like BG/Hydro.
Nick and Heather are great about answering questions and giving advice.

Can't wait for the review Nick. I have been very impressed with Prima products.

Thanks Buddy and Mark for the warm welcome!
No problem, Nick. :props:

I'm a huge fan of shampoos that contain zero gloss enhancers or polymers. I leave that to the LSP. I like washes that just clean paint, nothing more. Would this describe hydro wash? Is it pH neutral?

At initial glance (reading the description, etc...), any idea how Hydro Seal compares to something like Opti Seal?

They are very different in terms of the application process. With Opti-Seal, you spray on and walk away essentially. Hydro Seal requires the vehicle to be wet and you apply the product using a damp towel on a wet surface, and work the product in. Any extra is buffed off.

This is VERY cool because you don't have to wait for the car to completely dry after washing, just go straight to Hydro Seal. With most LSP's, you want the paint to be COMPLETELY dry before applying.
