Introducing: Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant

With the testing, how long has it lasted?

On plastic and rubber exterior trim, it's still holding up very well on multiple vehicles that were originally tested. When it wears off, I'll let you know. :props:

I'm glad to see this added to the Wolfgang lineup. There was a very big gap with a product like this not available. Congrats !

3 questions,

Is there any information available on the solvents in this product and its base ?

How is overspray (or accidental application) dealt with on glass and/or paint ? easily removable before the product dries ?

Could the product be misted through a sprayer ? (If it was poured into a 4oz sample bottle sprayer)

thx. I will find out by next week as I already ordered 16oz's. :)

1. It's VOC compliant in all 50 states. All safety information can be found on the label.

2. It's easily removed if you accidentally get any on glass or paint.

3. I've tried it with a sprayer and it doesn't make application any easier.

More. :hungry:

The Cobra Flex Foam Tire Applicator works great for applying ETS because of the firm, dense foam, and the fact that it's easy to handle and won't slip out of your hand.

After a thin, even coat of Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant is applied to the tire, the appearance is enhanced and the tire will be protected for months.

What's great about Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant is that it serves a dual purpose. It's much more than just a rubber, vinyl, and tire protectant, it can also protect and enhance the appearance of the wheels too.

When applying ETS to wheels and other metal trim, buff it off after the initial application. ETS goes on extremely thin, so use it sparingly.

Can't wait to give ETS a try! Wanted to give a quick THANK YOU to Nick for helping me out on the phone just now! Made everything every easy, and is a class act all the way. Thank you Nick!

as far as using a sprayer,, if the product is the consistency I am thinking (similar to UTTG ?), then I would ideally like to spray it onto an applicator for even distribution. With UTTG I save more product like this and it does not run through the applicator onto my hand. If the consistency is different than UTTG that please do disregard my comments. Thanks again ! excited to get this stuff, I really love the WG line !

Any idea if Ron (motorgeek-uk) is getting this in? Looks a good product.

ah damn...this weeks VIP is pretty damn special :wink wink:

I added some of this to my order to try out.....
Looking forward to comparing it to the UTTG.

I'll be keeping an eye out for your thoughts on the DWP849X and the Wolfgang ETS. :props:

That's why I recommend applying it with the Wolfgang German Polish N Wax Applicator, because the dense foam keeps more product on the face of the applicator.

Looking forward to comparing it to the UTTG.

If you do compare the two keep us posted please. I'm very curious about how it does compare.

If anyone who ordered this new product and doesnt have UTTG and would like to trade a sample just let me know. Id be curious to try this out but I dont want to drop the coin for the full shabang if there is no difference from UTTG (I have a full bottle of UTTG).

Regarding the use of the new Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant on wheels or chrome bumpers and trim. Can anyone at Autogeek tell me which offers better protection on the aforementioned surfaces? A wax/sealant or Wolfgang ETS?

Thanks

I just ordered the 16oz. bottle today. I would be willing to trade a sample. I just need to come up with a bottle.

How long has it been on the test vehicles. You say it has not failed yet but dont state when applied

So I realize nobody has tried this yet, and I know this is just a shot in the dark from looking at pictures, but from the cowling restoration pictures do those of you who have used UTTG think that Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant (WETS...ha ha, I got to coin the acronym!!) darkens/restores better than UTTG?

I love my C4 but in some cases I can see wanting to use something that is more forgiving in application (while trading off longevity, of course)...and then of course there is the tire thing.

So I realize nobody has tried this yet,

I'm gonna wait and let "Little Mikey " try it and see how everyone else likes it. Besides, I got plenty of Ultima's Tire & Trim Guard Plus+ to use up first.

Just ordered some last night. Can't wait to compare it to Ultima.

Alright...they got me...I even got the 10% off to work on the VIP price, which the JULY4TH didn't.

Ordered as well. Looking forward to trying this stuff out on tires, rims, and trims.

I'm writing up my review now and will try to get it posted tonight. Just popped on to get the price info for each size to add to my review.
