Iron x a must or not?

Ironx is what opens up the pores,clay gets the surface contaminates . So it's ironx first then clay which ironx will aid in claying
 
Opens up pores in that it dissolves (oxidizes?) embedded iron particles and leaves a "pore" behind.
 
A must, no? does it help? yes! it all depends on the outcome your looking for. i think its a must on a white care, like i have.

On a never before detailed car that has some miles, Iron X is a poor substitute for a decon wash. Claying iron after IronX is further proof that the particle isnt removed and the iron will be damaging the paint soon enough.

For maintenance im sure its fine.
 
I love the Trix decontamination process before using my nanoscrub pad on my Megs DA instead of having to mess with clay. The pad wasn't cheap but sure saves time .

Make sure you get a scented version of this stuff...... someone else said Iron-X smells like Rhino but...... not sure if that's correct, but, it is a holy-hell of smell...... the scented versions are very acceptable.

Can IronX be used by mobile detailers who don't use a water source? The directions say to rinse thoroughly after wiping it off. I really do hate trying to get all the iron spots out on white paint with just a clay bar. I keep some distilled water on my truck to mix with my waterless wash, and could use that for a damp wipe down, but instead of a full rinse, would a paint prep product like Perfekt Finish Paint Prep clean it enough?
