These are the OEM rims that came with my car, which have been demoted to be my winter wheels mounted with Blizzak snow tires. They get cleaned but not a lot of love. Today I decided to paint them up with some plasti-dip spray (thread coming later) but before that happened I needed to clean and decontaminate them. I was a bit shocked at how much iron they had in them, so without further delay here are some good bleeding pics:

That stuff does seem to work pretty well Bill. :props:

Wow that looks awesome! I could see myself getting carried away with plastidip hahahah

I love some IX blood shots Bill!! Very excited to see your plasti-dip thread!! DURKA !!!

Funny, I sprayed some on my wheels expecting the same thing, I was surprised how little iron my wheels had considering I do nothing special to them to keep them clean, other than wash them when I wash my car. I had a purple drip here and there. Cool stuff though.

It is one of those things. I have had cars that I thought would be super contaminated that didn't bleed a bit, and well kept cars that bleed out everywhere in a code-blue fashion. No matter these wheels obviously had a ton of iron in them.

Looks nice!
Is the plastidip textured?
Im in need of something to paint my frame of my truck that is visible in the wheel wells, paint is pealing and starting to rust at the welds.

Very cool. I just picked up some used OEM wheels for use with snows. Looks like Iron-X and some Plastidip will be on my shopping list.

There is some texture to it, you can control how much by the distance you spray from. I'll get some pictures up soon.

Helped a neighbor out last week. He had ceramic pads on his car. Almost no bleeding color. Iron-X doesn't react unless there is ferrous material. But it still got the wheels very clean.
